Riverside, California Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Big Bear Lake Lakefront Estate Sells for $5.52 Million

A lakefront house with its own dock on Big Bear Lake sold for $5.52 million, the highest-priced home sale reported in the Riverside, California metro area for the week ending August 16, 2026.

The week’s five highest-priced reported sales combined for $17.34 million and span Big Bear Lake, Palm Springs, Indian Wells and Palm Desert. Both Indian Wells closings came out of Toscana Country Club.

The houses behind them were built in 1952, 2006, 2007 and 2014, and the fifth is a 2026 residence still being finished in a gate-guarded Palm Desert community beside a golf club. They range from a mountain estate on deep water to a Palm Springs compound with a guest house and two country-club homes in the desert.

No. 1 — $5,520,000 · 659 Cove Dr, Big Bear Lake, California

A deep-water lakefront property with private dock access took the week’s highest reported price in the metro. 659 Cove Dr in Big Bear Lake sold for $5,520,000 on August 13, 2026. The 2014 house is recorded at seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms across a reported 7,762 square feet.

A custom lower-level addition, built as a mountain clubhouse retreat, holds game and entertainment rooms, a wine tasting area, a sauna and a handcrafted timber sleeping hall with 12 bunks, an adjoining full bath and a further powder room.
