The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Tucson metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, came to a combined $9.35 million. Two of the homes are in Tucson, two are in Oro Valley and one is in Vail, all of them in Pima County.
They span more than six decades of building in the desert, from a 1959 ranch to a home completed in 2025, and most of them sit on an acre or more. Horses, airplanes and long mountain views all figure in the week’s sales.
No. 1 — $3,450,000 · 8741 E Woodland Rd, Tucson, Arizona

The week’s top sale came from the Tanque Verde Valley, where a gated entrance on Woodland Road leads up a long paved drive past tall old trees and green pasture to a Spanish-style ranch home. It sold for $3,450,000. Built in 1959, it is the oldest home in this group, and with 5,031 square feet of living space it is also the largest.
The single-story home is built of masonry with a stucco finish and has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Inside are beamed and vaulted ceilings and a kitchen arranged around a large island. There are three fireplaces in all, with ones in the living room and the family room and another out on the patio. Covered patios look out to the mountains, and a heated pool and a spa sit outside.
The land is what sets the place apart. The property covers 6.98 acres, with five grass pastures enclosed by pipe-rail fencing and watered from a private well that comes with grandfathered irrigation water rights. For horses there is a three-stall barn with large individual turnouts, a tack room, a riding arena, a round pen and a separate hay barn. Big shade trees stand over the grounds, and one of them carries a well-built treehouse. Two separate garages have room for ten vehicles, the most of any home this week. The parcel has been divided into two lots of more than three acres, each with its own address, and there is no homeowners association. The property last sold in 2018 for $1.6 million.
