Peoria, Illinois Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Washington Leads a Week of Sales From Metamora to Dunlap

The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Peoria, Illinois, metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, totaled $3.94 million. There was one sale apiece in Washington, Metamora, Peoria, Groveland and Dunlap, at prices from $605,000 to $1,025,000.

Every home on the list has at least five bedrooms, and they were built between 1988 and 2013. Agents from Keller Williams Premier Realty listed four of the five.

No. 1 — $1,025,000 · 1811 Kern Rd, Washington, Illinois

The week’s top sale was a custom home built in 2006 on 1.02 wooded acres in the Timber Creek neighborhood of Washington. At 7,801 square feet, it is the largest of the five homes, and its six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, six full and one half, are also the most in the group. The two-story home is finished in brick, stone and frame and has a four-car garage.

A Brazilian hardwood staircase leads into the great room, where the ceilings rise to 20 feet. The kitchen has two islands, custom Amish cabinetry, quartz counters and a Sub-Zero refrigerator. There are three fireplaces, one of them in the primary bedroom, and the primary suite has a spa-style bath and large walk-in closets.

The finished lower level opens directly to the backyard. It has its own fireplace and a custom bar, with space for billiards and a home theater. Outside are a heated in-ground pool, an outdoor kitchen and a large deck, with mature trees around the property. The property last sold for $990,000 in 2021.

The second-ranked home in Metamora sits on the water in Briarwood Pointe, with a private boat dock. Its two acres make it the largest lot of the five. Eigsti Construction built the brick ranch in 2012, and it has 6,340 square feet, five bedrooms and six bathrooms, four full and two half.

A barrel-vaulted entry opens to the great room, which has a high ceiling, built-ins, a fireplace and a wall of windows with views of the lake. The kitchen has granite counters, double ovens and an oversized island. The bedrooms on the main level follow a split plan: the primary suite on one side and two more bedrooms, each with its own full bath.

The finished basement has a large family room with a fireplace and a wet bar, along with a rec room. Two more bedrooms and a full bath are on that level. Outside, there is a covered patio and a two-tier patio with a built-in firepit, and the dock is a short walk to the water.

Its five garage spaces are the most in the group. Three are in an oversized attached garage, and two are in a 1,261-square-foot outbuilding that also has a large workshop. The property last sold for $79,000 in 2010, before the current home was built.

It stands on a cul-de-sac lot of 1.02 acres, with woods and a ravine, and has 4,126 square feet, five bedrooms, four bathrooms (three full and one half) and a three-car garage.

A custom front door imported from Germany opens to an entry of Turkish limestone and floor-to-ceiling windows, and two gallery-style hallways lead from there. The vaulted great room and dining area share a wall of windows, built-ins and an oxidized metal fireplace with built-in uplighting, and they open to the deck.

The kitchen has Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, cabinetry in wood and white lacquer, quartz counters and a walk-in pantry behind frosted glass doors. It also opens to the deck, where a gas line is plumbed for a grill. The primary suite has a spa-style bath and a large walk-in closet fitted by California Closets, and the finished basement is a daylight walkout. The property last sold for $450,000 in 2002.

A formal dining room is just off the foyer. The kitchen has soapstone counters and an informal dining area and opens to the great room, and a side entrance leads out to a private patio. The primary suite is on the main floor, with tray ceilings and a remodeled bath. Three bedrooms are upstairs: one has a private bath and a walk-in closet, and the other two share a Jack-and-Jill bath.

The partially finished daylight basement has a family room with a projector and screen, along with the fifth bedroom, a full bath and a kitchenette. The property last sold for $54,500 in 2008, before the current home was built.

Large windows in the great room look out over a fenced backyard, and a fireplace anchors the room. The kitchen next to it has been upgraded with stainless steel appliances and custom cabinetry. The primary suite is on the main floor, and upstairs there is a second bedroom with its own bath and two more bedrooms. The finished basement has a wired media room, a bar and another bedroom. The property last sold for $555,000 in 2024.
