An oceanfront home in Melbourne Beach was the week’s top sale, closing at $3,100,000. The builder put it up in 1982 as a personal residence, and the property has 126 feet of ocean frontage beside a 600-foot oceanfront preserve.

The contemporary two-story home opens from a broad foyer with the ocean already in view. The home also has a wood-burning fireplace and a wet bar. The kitchen has a granite island, custom cabinets and a double oven, and it opens to a formal dining room that also faces the ocean.
