
Prospect accounted for three of the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Louisville, Kentucky metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026. Together the five sales came to $10.355 million.
Two of the Prospect homes were finished only three years ago. The other two sales took the list in different directions: a traditional home from the 1930s in Mockingbird Valley and a property in Jeffersontown with more land than any other in the group.
No. 1 — $2,395,000 · 11602 River Beauty Loop, Prospect, Kentucky

The week’s top sale was in The Hamlet, the Oldham County section of Norton Commons in Prospect, where a brick-veneer home custom-built in 2023 sold for $2,395,000, its full asking price. The property last sold for $1.39 million in 2023.
The home has five bedrooms, five full baths and a half bath in 5,083 square feet. The primary suite is on the main floor, with a vaulted ceiling, two walk-in closets and a bath with double vanities, a soaking tub and a large tiled shower. Also on the main level are a home office, a laundry and mudroom, and a kitchen with quartz counters, Café appliances, cabinetry that reaches the ceiling and a walk-in pantry. Hardwood floors and plantation shutters run through the home.
Upstairs, two of the three bedrooms have their own baths, and a loft with a built-in workspace opens to a second-floor balcony with views of the lake. The finished lower level adds a family room, a fitness studio, a guest suite and a full bath. Out back is a covered porch. Above the three-car garage sits an unfinished carriage house of 618 square feet, roughed in for use as a guest suite, an apartment or a studio with its own entrance. The home is in the geothermal section of The Hamlet, and the community has a pool and a playground.

In Hunting Creek Estates in Prospect, a 1993 brick home alongside the fourth hole of Hunting Creek Country Club’s golf course sold for $2,260,000. It sits on 1.55 acres, set well back from the street at the end of a long, straight driveway, with a covered porch across the full front and a rear motor court and porte-cochère leading to the three-car garage. The property last sold for $750,000 in 1999.

Wolf Pen Estates, a gated community in Prospect, produced the third-highest sale of the week: a traditional-style home of brick and wood frame, built in 2023 on 4.65 acres on a cul-de-sac, which sold for $2,175,000. The property last sold for $1.38 million in 2023.
No home in the Top 5 has more bedrooms or bathrooms. It has seven bedrooms and eight baths, six full and two half, in 6,505 square feet, with the primary suite on the first floor. The backyard is built around a saltwater pool with a waterslide, and the outdoor living areas also include an outdoor kitchen and a covered sitting area with a fireplace. Inside, the finished lower level has room for recreation, fitness, games and crafts. Along with the attached three-car garage, there is a separate garage for equipment and a charging station for an electric vehicle.

The traditional-style home, of brick veneer and wood frame, has five bedrooms, four full baths and a half bath in 5,970 square feet, with a partly finished basement that has walk-up access. The grounds include an in-ground pool, a patio and a pool house, and the home has a four-car garage. The property last sold for $601,340 in 2010. The largest property of the week covers 8.29 acres in Jeffersontown in Louisville, inside the Gene Snyder Freeway. Its French-inspired home, built in 2017, sold for $1,475,000. The property last sold for $275,000 in 2017.
The home has a limewashed brick exterior under a Galvalume metal roof. Inside are pecky cypress beams, hand-scraped knotty oak floors, solid-wood crown molding and custom maple cabinetry.
