Charleston, South Carolina Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: New Daniel Island Park Waterfront Home Leads at $9.20 Million

New construction set the pace in the Charleston market this week: a house finished in 2026 at 925 Fish Camp Rd in Daniel Island Park sold for $9.2 million on September 4 to lead the metro area’s five highest-priced reported home sales, which combined for $30.13 million for the week ending September 6, 2026.

The list reaches from Daniel Island Park, which placed two 2026-completed houses in the top three, to South of Broad and Ansonborough downtown, where the week’s homes date to 1754 and 1839, and out to Kiawah Island, home of the week’s No. 4 sale.

Top home sale No. 1 in the Charleston, South Carolina metro area β€” 925 Fish Camp Rd, Charleston, South Carolina, week ending September 6, 2026

The week’s leader sits on 0.8 acres in The Retreat, at the northern edge of Daniel Island, where Beresford and Ralston creeks converge, and sold for $9.2 million on September 4, 2026. A deepwater dock with a pierhead and a floating slip gives the five-bedroom house direct water access, and the grounds carry a pool, a hot tub and a waterfront pool pavilion framed by marsh and river views.

Inside, a reported 5,564 square feet designed by Riverside Designers carry beamed ceilings of 11 feet and taller, wide-plank wood floors and walls of glass that keep the water in view from the main rooms. The layout includes a main-level primary suite, an elevator, a wine cellar, a sauna and a wet bar, with five full and two half baths serving the five bedrooms, and a screened porch joins full front and rear porches outside. Listing materials say a full Daniel Island Club golf membership accompanied the property, whose Daniel Island Park setting adds golf, tennis, a community pool, a clubhouse, dock facilities and walking trails.

King and Society Real Estate was the listing brokerage on the $9.2 million transaction, which ranked No. 1 in RealtyWire’s Charleston Metro Area Top 5 for the week; the individual listing agent could not be independently verified before publication.

Downtown, the Veree-Duvall House at 60 Church St, a circa-1754 residence on a high-elevation site in the Old Walled City, South of Broad, closed on August 31, 2026, at $6.95 million. Pre-Revolutionary pecky cypress woodwork distinguishes the five-bedroom home, most notably in the front drawing room, and a reported 4,269 square feet take in a spacious rear addition holding the kitchen, a breakfast area and a grand rear living room that opens to the garden.

That Wertimer-designed garden doubles in width at the rear, giving over entertaining and outdoor dining areas arranged around a heated saltwater pool, with a single-level, two-bedroom guest house tucked discreetly out of view of the main house. A predominantly brick exterior under a full metal roof blends Southern influences with a contemporary aesthetic, entered through an oversized mahogany front door. Twelve-foot ceilings run across the main level, where the kitchen, dining and living areas open through a wall of 10-foot sliding glass doors, and finishes include extensive custom millwork, paneled walls and wide-plank oak flooring. The kitchen combines Wolf, Sub-Zero and Cove appliances with Tahiti quartzite countertops and a chef’s scullery behind it, and a soundproof office that can serve as a first-floor primary suite, an art studio and a media room with a custom wet bar fill out the main floor. Upstairs, the primary suite pairs a private balcony over the golf course with a dual-sided fireplace, while outside a tiled porch with a fireplace, an outdoor kitchen with wine refrigeration, an infinity-edge pool and a hot tub face the course. Marketing materials noted that a full Daniel Island Club golf membership was available with the home, bypassing the club’s 10-year wait, with member access to the Rees Jones-designed Ralston Creek and Tom Fazio-designed Beresford Creek courses.

Top home sale No. 5 in the Charleston, South Carolina metro area β€” 30 Anson St, Charleston, South Carolina, week ending September 6, 2026

Back downtown, the Edward McCrady House at 30 Anson St, an 1839 Greek Revival Charleston single on a double lot in Ansonborough, sold for $3,725,000, closing September 4, 2026. Original heart pine floors, exposed historic masonry and double piazzas define the reported 4,158 square feet.
