The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Buffalo metro area for the week ending October 18, 2026, came to a combined $3.78 million. Every one was a two-story single-family home in Erie County, and the list ran from a 1920 Colonial on a city street to a 2005 patio home in a Williamsville neighborhood.
Williamsville had two of the five, which together sold for $1,363,100. The others were in East Aurora, Buffalo and Orchard Park, and HUNT Real Estate ERA listed two of the homes on the list.
No. 1 — $1,070,707 · 40 W Gate Dr, East Aurora, New York

The top sale of the week was a cedar-sided Colonial at 40 W Gate Dr in East Aurora, which sold for $1,070,707. Built in 1987, it sits on a cul-de-sac on 4.55 wooded acres, the largest lot among the five, yet the village is a short walk away. The home is in the East Aurora School District.
Much of the appeal is outdoors. A private walking trail of about 700 feet loops through the grounds, there is an apple tree, and a large screened porch looks out over a broad, well-kept lawn. The heated saltwater pool has a hot tub, and professional landscaping surrounds the yard.
Inside, the kitchen, breakfast area and dining area have been remodeled with new cabinetry and appliances, and every bathroom has been renovated. The home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, three full and one half, in 3,660 square feet, with a gas fireplace in the living spaces, hardwood floors and skylights. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet and its own bath. The finished basement adds a full bath and storage, and the attached garage fits two and a half cars.
