The week’s top sale is a newly built home in Brookwood, less than a mile from the Auburn University campus, which sold for $2,581,151. Hooper Homes built it in 2026 in a coastal New England style: a brick exterior under a cedar shake roof, with dormer windows, copper gutters and a covered entry. At 4,345 square feet on a 0.33-acre lot, it is the largest of the five homes by living area. It has five bedrooms, five full baths and a half bath.

Exposed beams and tongue-and-groove ceilings set the tone inside, along with detailed millwork and wide-plank hardwood floors. In the living room, a fireplace with herringbone detailing faces walls of French doors that open to the outdoor living spaces. The kitchen has marble countertops and a marble backsplash, brass accents, custom cabinetry, a gas cooktop and an oversized island, and there is a butler’s pantry as well. The primary suite is on the main level. Its bath has a freestanding soaking tub and two marble vanities, and its walk-in closet is fitted with built-in shelving and drawers. Upstairs, a bonus room with dormer ceilings has built-in bunks for guests. The home also has a mudroom and a laundry room with a farmhouse sink.

Behind the home are a pool, a patio and a vaulted outdoor living area with its own fireplace.
