The five highest-priced home sales reported in DeKalb County, Georgia for the week ending October 25, 2026, totaled $7.49 million. Two of the sales were in Atlanta, and Brookhaven, Decatur and Dunwoody had one each. Four of the five are single-family homes and one is a townhouse, and the group runs from a Craftsman and a hilltop bungalow to a brick home near the Decatur square.
No. 1 — $2,750,000 · 2811 N Thompson Rd NE, Brookhaven, Georgia

The top sale of the week was a contemporary home in Brookhaven’s Ashford Park neighborhood, which sold for $2,750,000. Built in 2023, it is the newest of the five and, at 7,783 square feet, the largest. Its six bedrooms are the most in this group, and it has six full baths and one half bath on a level, landscaped lot of 0.32 acres.
A two-story foyer opens to a staircase lit by tall windows, and wide white oak planks cover the floors. Ceilings reach 10 feet on both the main and upper levels. The family room has custom built-ins, a fireplace and an accordion-style glass door that opens to the outdoor spaces. In the kitchen, a waterfall-edge island is joined by a Wolf range, a paneled Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, two dishwashers, cabinetry built to the ceiling and a walk-in pantry.

Three more bedrooms on that floor each have a private bath. The finished terrace level adds a guest bedroom with a bath, walks out to the backyard and is already plumbed for a kitchen.
Outside, a covered bluestone patio with a brick fireplace looks over a heated saltwater pool and spa, with waterfalls and fire features at either end of the pool. The fenced yard is planted in Zoysia grass. The home is near Dresden Drive and downtown Chamblee. The property last sold in 2023 for $2.22 million.
