Country acreage defined the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Ocala metro area for the week ending October 11, 2026, and together they totaled $7.62 million. Three of the homes are in Ocala, one is in Silver Springs and one is in Weirsdale, and the smallest of the five sits on 4.48 acres.
The group spans more than a quarter century of building, from a brick home finished in 1994 to one completed in 2020. Four of the five are single-story homes, and the list ranges from working horse farms to a gated property on one of Ocala’s best-known streets.
No. 1 — $2,050,000 · 4985 SW 85th Street, Ocala, Florida

The week’s top sale was a 10-acre equestrian property in Wingspread Farms, southwest of Ocala and 15 minutes from the World Equestrian Center, which sold for $2,050,000. The home is a single-story ranch built in 2007, finished in stucco and HardiPlank-style siding, with four bedrooms, three full baths and one half bath, and 4,895 square feet of living space.
Inside, high ceilings, crown molding and chair rails frame the main rooms, and a gas fireplace warms the living room. The kitchen has stone counters, solid wood cabinets and a wine refrigerator. The primary suite is on the main floor and is unusually large: it has two walk-in closets, its own wet bar, more than one sitting area and a flex room that could work as a gym or a second living room. A utility room off the suite looks out over the farm, and the home has a second laundry room as well.
Behind the home, a heated saltwater pool with a waterfall sits on a brick paver deck. A covered outdoor kitchen has an Alfresco grill and a separate EVO cooktop, and a fire pit sits nearby. A detached guest house has two bedrooms, one bath, a full kitchen, a living room, a front porch and a fenced yard of its own. A small chapel stands on the grounds.
The horse facilities are substantial. A center-aisle barn has three stalls, wash racks, an office and a climate-controlled tack room, and riders have an irrigated arena with sand footing. Several pole barns round out the farm: one has an extra stall and room for equipment, and the others give horses shade out in the pastures. The property last sold for $700,000 in 2016.
Matt Varney of OCALA HORSE PROPERTIES, LLC was the listing agent for the week’s highest-priced sale, and Carolyn Roberts of ROBERTS REAL ESTATE INC represented the buyer.

No. 2 — $2,025,000 · 4940 E Fort King St, Ocala, Florida

Mature trees surround this gated, fully fenced estate of 4.48 acres on East Fort King Street in Ocala, which sold for $2,025,000. Built in 1994, it is the oldest home in this Top 5, a three-story brick residence with hardwood and stone floors, two fireplaces and an attached four-car garage.
An architectural staircase rises from the entry, and custom millwork runs through the rooms. The home has six bedrooms, the most of any home on the list, and each one is set up as a suite. One playful detail sets it apart: a hidden room sits behind every closet. Formal living and dining rooms anchor the main floor along with several flexible rooms, and the kitchen opens to the main living areas. The primary suite takes up one side of the main floor, with windows that run from floor to ceiling and a remodeled spa-style bath.
Outdoors, a heated gunite pool and spa is surrounded by open lawn, and there is a tennis court, a cabana and an outdoor shower. The grounds also include a gym, an office, a workshop and a guest house with a full kitchen and its own laundry. The property last sold for $1.675 million in 2023.

No. 3 — $1,250,000 · 10080 SE 1st Street Road, Silver Springs, Florida

At 20.66 acres, this Silver Springs property has the most land of the five, and it borders the Florida Greenway, with trails for riding and hiking at its edge. It sold for $1,250,000, and the sale included the furnishings.
Completed in 2020, it is also the newest home on the list. A gated entrance and a winding concrete drive lead to the single-story home, which has a metal roof and HardiPlank-style siding. Inside are four bedrooms, three baths and 2,690 square feet arranged in an open plan with a masonry fireplace, tray ceilings and a split bedroom layout. The kitchen has a six-burner cooktop, a coffee station, a reverse osmosis water system and a large pantry. The primary suite has two walk-in closets and an oversized walk-in shower, and the home also has an office and a mudroom.
Life here moves outdoors easily. There is a screened lanai, and a covered pavilion has a wood-burning stove and space for grilling. Around the home, roughly three fenced acres hold irrigated lawns, raised garden beds and a food forest. Farther out are about 12 acres of fenced pasture, two ponds, a creek and some five acres of mature pines. An RV hookup and a separate irrigation well add to the practical side of the place.
