Two of the week's top sales were neighbors on the same Madison road, and two brokerages each listed a pair of the five homes.

The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Huntsville, Alabama metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, totaled $4.86 million. Madison accounted for three of them, all new construction, and Huntsville for the other two: a mid-century ranch on Monte Sano and a historic Craftsman in East Huntsville.

No. 1 — $1,008,475 · 422 Landers Rd, Madison, Alabama

Top home sale No. 1 in the Huntsville, Alabama metro area β€” 422 Landers Rd, Madison, Alabama, week ending October 4, 2026

The top sale of the week was a new two-story home in Star Estates in Madison, which sold for $1,008,475. Built to a floor plan called the Yeats, it has five bedrooms, five baths (four full and one half) and 3,986 square feet on 0.68 acres.

The home opens to high ceilings. The primary suite is on the main level, with a walk-in closet and a tiled shower, and that floor also has an office and a second bedroom. The kitchen and dining room are open to the family room. Upstairs are three more bedrooms and a bonus room. The home also has an outdoor fireplace and a sprinkler system.

Felicia McGee of Murphy Real Estate, LLC was the listing agent, and Philip Boyett of eXp Realty The Cinder Group represented the buyer. It was one of two sales in this Top 5 for McGee, who also handled the new ranch home at No. 4 on the same road.

Madison Branch is a new community in Madison, on the Limestone County side, with a clubhouse, a pool, common grounds and a walking path beside a creek. The No. 2 sale there was a new home built this year to a design called the Lydia Plan, and it sold for $985,528.

At 4,122 square feet, it is the largest home in this Top 5, with five bedrooms and six baths (five full and one half) on 0.33 acres. The main level has 10-foot ceilings and eight-foot doors. A study, a dining room, a large primary bedroom and a guest suite are all on that floor, along with a great room under a soaring ceiling. Upstairs, three more bedrooms each have a private bath and a walk-in closet, and the home also has a recreation room.

The kitchen is equipped with a double oven, a gas cooktop and a vented hood, with a bar for extra seating. A mud room, a powder room for guests, a gas-log fireplace and detailed trim work round out the interior.

Felicia McGee of Murphy Real Estate, LLC was the listing agent and also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the sale. It was the second home in this Top 5 that McGee listed, along with the No. 1 sale on the same road.
