A horse farm in Wellsville led the week, while homes in three York neighborhoods and a wooded property in Delta filled out the list.

York, Pennsylvania Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: $2.8 Million Wellsville Horse Farm Tops the Week

These are the highest-priced home sales reported in the York, Pennsylvania metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, and together the five sold for $5.48 million. The list stretches from a farmstead whose main home dates to 1807 to a cottage-style Cape Cod finished in 2011, and from nearly 192 acres of pasture to a lot of well under half an acre.

Three of the sales were in York itself, in The Woodlands, Strathcona Hills and Heritage Hills. The others were in Wellsville and in Delta, in Peach Bottom Township, a few minutes from the Pennsylvania/Maryland line.

No. 1 — $2,800,000 · 151 Warrington St, Wellsville, Pennsylvania

Diamond Creek Farms in Wellsville sold for $2,800,000, and the home at its center is the oldest on this week’s list. The brick main home was built in 1807 and has seven bedrooms, five bathrooms (four full baths and a half bath) and 3,873 square feet over three stories. Inside are wood floors, three fireplaces, a curved staircase, crown molding, wainscoting and chair rails, a formal dining room and a country kitchen with room for a table.

The land is the larger story. The property covers 191.87 acres, the most of the five, and much of it is open pasture, with 19 separately fenced paddocks and pastures. It is set up as a horse farm. A stallion barn has six stalls, a prep room and an indoor breeding area that can double as a small riding arena, and a separate mare barn has 28 stalls. A large maintenance building with three oversized overhead doors handles equipment, trailers and hay. There is also a separate tenant home with three bedrooms, along with a kennel, a play area and a detached, oversized garage for six cars.

The property last sold in 2011 for $1.67 million.

A former model home in The Woodlands in York, this 1992 Colonial on Spangler Circle has the most living space of the five, at 5,053 square feet. It sold for $700,000. A two-story foyer opens onto hardwood floors that run through much of the main level, with an office or playroom on one side and a formal dining room trimmed in crown molding, chair rail and wainscoting on the other.

The kitchen has granite counters, a large center island and a separate nook beside it suited to a coffee or wine bar. The breakfast area flows into the family room, and beyond that a sunroom looks out on the backyard. The home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, three full and one half. Upstairs, the primary suite has a renovated bath with a soaking tub and an oversized glass shower, and its custom walk-in closet comes with a built-in organizer and its own washer and dryer.

The walk-out basement is set up for entertaining, with a tray ceiling and a stone bar framed by matching stone pillars. Outside are a patio and a raised deck among mature trees, on a lot of 0.58 acres with an attached two-car garage. The property last sold in 2008 for $479,000.

In Strathcona Hills, a 1979 ranch on 1.08 wooded acres sold for $677,500. It is a one-story home with four of its five bedrooms on the main level, and skylights and large windows light an open plan with hardwood floors. The kitchen was redesigned and fully renovated in 2006 with custom cabinetry, granite counters, porcelain tile floors and a center island, and a larger eat-in area. A primary bedroom and bath were added in 2005. That bath has granite-topped vanities, tumbled marble tile, a walk-in shower behind glass doors and a soaking tub.

The home has 3,873 square feet and four bathrooms, three full and one half. A family room has a gas fireplace and built-in cabinetry. The finished walk-out lower level adds a bar, a wood-burning fireplace, a gym, a room for a hot tub and a guest bedroom with its own full bath. The formal living room opens to a composite deck and the pool area, where a heated, fenced inground pool sits among extensive hardscaping and patios, and the lot backs to woods. There is an attached three-car garage with epoxy floors.

The neighborhood is a few minutes from WellSpan York Hospital and Interstate 83, and downtown York is about five minutes away.

The newest home on this week’s list sits beside a golf course in Heritage Hills. Built in 2011, the cottage-style Cape Cod sold for $676,000 after going under contract one day after it was listed. It sold for $26,000 above its asking price of $650,000.

Arched doorways and transom windows run through the home. The foyer and living room both have soaring ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room frame a balcony with views across the golf course toward the sunset. A stone surround gas fireplace sits in the same room. The kitchen has double ovens, a walk-in pantry and an oversized island, and a formal dining room just off it has large windows facing the course. A private office has two desk areas.

Of the four bedrooms, two are on the main level, each set up as a primary suite with a walk-in closet and a walk-in shower. The other two share a full bath on the upper floor, lit by a solar tube. In all the home has 3,933 square feet and four bathrooms, three full and one half. The unfinished walk-out basement already has a sliding glass door, full-size windows, a sink and plumbing roughed in for a bath. The lot is 0.38 acres, the smallest of the five, and the side-load garage holds three cars.

The property last sold in 2002 for $90,000, before the current home was built.
