Tampa, Florida Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Davis Island Bayfront Closing Leads at $7.10 Million

A bayfront property on Davis Island sold for $7.10 million, the highest-priced home sale reported in the Tampa metro area for the week ending September 6, 2026.

Tampa, Florida Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Davis Island Bayfront Closing Leads at $7.10 Million

The week’s leading sale traded on land rather than house: 62 Adalia Avenue, near the entrance of Davis Island, was marketed as an open-bay homesite with 88 feet of west-facing waterfront and a new seawall and dock already in place, and it brought $7.10 million on August 31.

That closing led five reported home sales across the Tampa, Florida metro area totaling $23.70 million for the week ending September 6, 2026. The five span Tampa, Largo and Madeira Beach, and water runs through nearly the entire list: open bay on Davis Island, a dock-equipped house behind Harbour Island’s guarded gates, 175 feet of frontage with Gulf access in Largo’s Harbor Bluffs area and a beach house set directly on the Gulf in Madeira Beach. Prices ranged from $3.90 million to $7.10 million.

No. 1 — $7,100,000 · 62 Adalia Avenue, Tampa, Florida

Top home sale No. 1 in the Tampa, Florida metro area β€” 62 Adalia Avenue, Tampa, Florida, week ending September 6, 2026

Even with a four-bedroom 1955 house of a reported 3,236 square feet standing on it, 62 Adalia Avenue sold as a canvas: listing materials offered the property for land value only, an 18,392-square-foot lot measuring 88 by 209 feet with direct open-bay frontage and sunset views across the water toward Bayshore Boulevard. The sale closed on August 31, 2026.

A new seawall and a dock added in 2025 are already in place, with two lifts, one for a boat and one sized for a pair of personal watercraft, and the lot’s unusual width and depth leave room for a substantial new waterfront residence. The site sits near the entrance of Davis Island, minutes from downtown Tampa, Water Street, the Riverwalk and Tampa General Hospital, in an island community with its own yacht club, marina, tennis complex, community pool, waterfront parks and a village of shops and restaurants.

The property previously changed hands for $520,000 in 1995. The $7.10 million closing ranked No. 1 in RealtyWire’s Tampa Metro Area Top 5 for the week.

Caylee Robles, LLC and Stefan Alvarez of South Cedar Real Estate, Inc were the listing agents. George Shea of Signature Realty Associates represented the buyer.

At No. 2, a four-bedroom house at 1037 Royal Pass Road, inside Harbour Island’s 24-hour guarded gates, sold for $4.40 million on September 4, 2026.

The 1998 house, with a reported 4,523 square feet, was renovated from top to bottom by Soleil Design and is organized around a glass elevator rising through its three levels. The kitchen carries double Wolf ovens, a six-burner gas cooktop, a 60-inch Sub-Zero refrigerator and a separate wine and beverage refrigerator, and impact-rated doors and windows frame the water. Outside are a PebbleTec pool, an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and a private boat dock with a lift and new seawall, while a third-floor bonus level opens onto a rooftop deck.

The primary suite occupies a wing of its own, with a private balcony over the water, a dual-vanity bath, a walk-in closet and a soaking tub positioned toward the waterfront. Steps beyond the gates are Tampa’s Riverwalk, Bayshore Boulevard and Water Street. Top home sale No. 3 in the Tampa, Florida metro area β€” 226 Poinciana Lane, Largo, Florida, week ending September 6, 2026

The week’s No. 3 sale sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Largo’s Harbor Bluffs area: 226 Poinciana Lane, a 2001-built waterfront home with 175 feet of south-facing frontage and deep-water boating access to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf, brought $4.30 million and closed August 31, 2026.

The four-bedroom house of a reported 3,978 square feet includes a private office and a six-car garage. The primary suite carries dual baths, one in marble with a soaking tub and the other with a glass-enclosed shower, and the three additional bedrooms are each en suite.

Outdoors, terraces surround a pool with an AquaLink-controlled spa, and a Trex dock holds 16,000-pound and 4,500-pound boat lifts behind a newer seawall. A whole-house generator, hurricane-impact windows added in 2017 and Trane HVAC systems from 2022 round out the updates, and the home was offered fully furnished. It went under contract 21 days after the current listing date, previously changed hands for $2,250,000 in 2006, and ranked No. 3 in the weekly Tampa-area Top 5.
