The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Peoria metro area for the week ending October 18, 2026, added up to $3.11 million, and they covered a wide spread of ways to live. Two sales were in Peoria, two were on neighboring streets in the Sommer Place subdivision of Edwards, and one was a country property outside Pekin in Tazewell County.
The group ran from a 1972 contemporary with river views to a home finished in 2026, and from a lot of 8,712 square feet to more than 20 acres with its own lake. In two of the five sales, the same agent was on both sides of the sale.
No. 1 — $760,000 · 4119 N Grandview Dr, Peoria, Illinois

The week’s top sale was a stucco contemporary on Grandview Drive in Peoria, a 1972 home built to take in the river below. Large expanses of glass and open, connected rooms define the main level, where a sunken living room and a family room with a fireplace both look toward the water.
The primary suite is the showpiece. Its bedroom rises to a 20-foot cathedral ceiling with exposed beams, has its own fireplace and a sitting area that looks out over the river, and opens to a newly redone bath finished in Dolomite marble. The home has four bedrooms, one of them now used as an office, and six bathrooms, five full and one half. At 5,253 square feet, it has the most living space of the five homes, on a level lot of 0.60 acres.
Much of the interior was redone within the past year: new hardwood floors throughout, a rebuilt kitchen with new cabinetry and appliances, and updated baths. The four balconies facing the river have new composite decking. Below, a walkout lower level has a recreation room with a wet bar and the home’s third fireplace, and it opens directly to the in-ground pool, which has a newly tiled surround.
The home sold for $760,000. It last sold for $568,500 in 2024.
Mark R Monge of Jim Maloof Realty, Inc. was on both sides of the sale, as the listing agent and as the agent who represented the buyer. Monge was also the listing agent for the home at 6408 W Hazel Nut Dr in Edwards, which ranked fifth this week, so Jim Maloof Realty, Inc. listed two of the five homes.

No. 2 — $612,500 · 2925 W Playden Dr, Peoria, Illinois

Builder Kent Worthington custom-built this brick and vinyl home in the Stonehenge neighborhood of Peoria in 2009, and its traditional design centers on a family room that rises two stories, with a wall of windows and a fireplace.
The kitchen is large, with an island, Amish-made cabinets, granite counters and a spot for casual meals. A bedroom suite with its own full bath sits on the main floor. Upstairs, the primary suite includes a den with a fireplace and a bath with a walk-in tiled shower, two sinks and two walk-in closets. Another bedroom upstairs has its own bath and walk-in closet, and the remaining two bedrooms share one. In all, the home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, four full and one half, in 3,404 square feet.
The full basement is unfinished but already plumbed for a future bathroom and wet bar. Outside, there is a covered deck at the back, a level yard on 0.39 acres and a three-car garage that loads from the side. The home is in the Dunlap School District, close to shopping, restaurants and the interstate.
It sold for $612,500. The property last sold for $76,000 in 2009.
The home went under contract five days after it was listed. Amy L Weaver of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group was the listing agent, and Jordyn Kneer of eXp Realty represented the buyer.

No. 3 — $600,000 · 3600 Broadway St, Pekin, Illinois

Outside Pekin, the third-highest sale of the week was less about the home than about the land around it: 20.16 acres, the largest parcel in this Top 5, with pasture, a fenced corral, a pole barn and a chicken coop. At the center of it is a stocked lake of about an acre, with a dock and landing.
The 1981 brick and frame ranch has 3,750 square feet, four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Gas fireplaces warm both the living room and the family room, and the basement is finished. A composite deck has a heated hot tub and a retractable awning, and the property has a generator. The listing puts it about five minutes from Pekin or Morton.
The property sold for $600,000. It last sold for $280,000 in 2007.
Mary Ann Ladendorf of RE/MAX Traders Unlimited was on both sides of the sale, as the listing agent and as the agent for the buyer. RE/MAX Traders Unlimited also listed the week’s No. 4 sale in Edwards, giving the brokerage two listings in this Top 5.

No. 4 — $579,900 · 6501 W Callahan Ct, Edwards, Illinois

The newest home of the five was completed this year in the Sommer Place subdivision of Edwards, and it sold at its full asking price of $579,900.
Stone and vinyl siding cover the front of the two-story home. Inside the entry, a formal sitting room to one side can serve as a living room or a dining room. Past it, the main level opens up into a living room with an electric fireplace, a casual dining area and a large kitchen with a walk-in pantry, all on hardwood floors. A drop zone and a half bath sit off the oversized three-car garage.
The primary suite upstairs has two vanities, a separate water closet, a walk-in shower and a walk-in closet, and three more bedrooms share the floor with a full bath and a laundry room. The finished basement adds a recreation room, a fifth bedroom with an egress window, another full bath and storage. The home has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, three full and one half, in 3,081 square feet, with a patio out back on a lot of 8,712 square feet.
Rich Gillespie of RE/MAX Traders Unlimited was the listing agent, and Stephen Schauble of The Royal Realty Company Illin represented the buyer.

No. 5 — $555,000 · 6408 W Hazel Nut Dr, Edwards, Illinois

A few streets away in the same Sommer Place subdivision, a 2008 brick and vinyl home went under contract one day after it was listed and sold for $555,000, above its asking price of $524,900. Together, the two Sommer Place sales came to $1,134,900.
Wood floors run across the main level, where a gas fireplace anchors the great room. The finished lower level gets daylight through its windows and is set up for entertaining, with a bar, a pool table and theater seating. The home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, four full and one half, in 3,880 square feet, plus a deck and an irrigated lawn on a lot of 9,600 square feet.
Part of the appeal is the neighborhood. A park within a short walk has tennis and basketball courts, baseball fields, a skate park, walking trails and fishing, and neighbors gather for block parties on Friday nights through the summer and into early fall. The home is in the Dunlap School District. The property last sold for $405,000 in 2015.
Mark R Monge of Jim Maloof Realty, Inc. was the listing agent, and Brian A Carlin, also of Jim Maloof Realty, Inc., represented the buyer.
