The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Pittsburgh metro area for the week ending October 18, 2026, came to a combined $7.8 million. Two of the homes are in Pittsburgh, and one each is in Gibsonia, Valencia and Allison Park. Four are in Allegheny County and one is in Butler County.
Every one of the five is built of brick. The group includes four single-family homes and one townhouse, and the homes range in age from a Colonial completed in 1980 to a French Provincial home finished in 2015. The settings run from a gated community with views of downtown to a 12.85-acre estate in Valencia.
No. 1 — $2,025,000 · 620 Grandview Ave, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The highest-priced sale of the week was a brick townhouse on Mount Washington, in the gated Grandview Crest community, which sold for $2,025,000. Its draw is the view: walls of windows look out across the Pittsburgh skyline, the bridges, the stadiums and the city lights at night, and the outlook carries through every level of the home.
Built in 1999, the three-story home has four bedrooms, five bathrooms (four full and one half) and 4,361 square feet of living space. A private elevator runs from the built-in garage to the upper floors. The open living areas have hardwood floors and a gas fireplace in the family room, and the kitchen has been redone with a new island, a tray ceiling, new flooring and a new backsplash. Two of the bedrooms are primary suites, an arrangement that suits extended family or long-stay guests. Three separate outdoor spaces give the owners room to sit out with the skyline in view.
The finished walk-out lower level includes a game room and a flex room that could become a gym, a media room, an office or a studio. Shops and restaurants on Mount Washington are within walking distance, and downtown Pittsburgh is minutes away. The property last sold for $1.29 million in 2020.
