These are the highest-priced home sales reported in the Memphis, Tennessee metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, and together they total $8.11 million. All five are single-family homes in Shelby County, and each sold for more than $1 million.

No. 1 — $3,320,000 · 223 Cherry Cir E, Memphis, Tennessee

The top sale of the week was a home that Charles Shipp custom designed for family life, set down a quiet cove in Belle Meade. It sold for $3,320,000. Built in 2013, the home has 8,626 square feet of living space, the most among the five sales, on one acre. Its six bedrooms and eight bathrooms are also the most of the group: every bedroom has its own bath, and there are two half baths as well.

Inside are a library with a gas fireplace and an office with a dedicated gift-wrapping area and hidden storage. A guest suite with a kitchenette is upstairs, and the home also has two large playrooms. The home has high ceilings, wood floors, a wet bar, a pantry and walk-in closets.

The home was oriented to limit direct sun, and it wraps around a heated pool and a hot tub. The property also has a screened porch, a gas grill and a sports court for basketball or pickleball, as well as an area set aside for a future greenhouse and garden beds. A three-car garage faces the side. The property last sold for $500,000 in 2010, before the current home was built.

The oldest home in this week’s Top 5 dates to 1948, and it sits on the largest lot of the group: 1.49 acres on a professionally landscaped corner with some trees, in a gated community in River Oaks. The brick-veneer Southern Colonial home went under contract nine days after it was listed and sold for $1,550,000.

The home has two stories, five bedrooms and six bathrooms, five full and one half, in 7,715 square feet, a figure that includes a finished basement with walk-out access. The primary bedroom is on the main floor, and its bath has a double vanity and a separate tub and shower. A beamed ceiling crowns the great room, and the breakfast area opens through a wall of hinged and fixed French doors. There is also a keeping room, a formal dining room, an office, a playroom and cedar closets, with nail-down hardwood floors and high ceilings.

Gas fireplaces warm the living room and den, and a wet bar and central vacuum add to the interior. A climate-controlled walk-in wine cellar is lined floor to ceiling with custom wood racks.

Outside, two separate living areas are arranged around a Zen garden water feature made with a stone fountain and smooth river rocks. The property last sold for $1.05 million in 2022.
