The top sale of the week was a brick-and-vinyl ranch on the shore of Lake Weston, the private lake at the center of Weston Lake Estates in McHenry. The home at 2820 North Bayview Lane sold for $760,000.

Built in 2006, it is the newest of the five homes and, at 4,000 square feet, the largest. Everything needed for daily life is on one level: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, hardwood floors, arched openings and tray and vaulted ceilings. The open kitchen comes fully equipped, and the primary suite has a soaking tub, a separate shower and a large window facing the lake. The family room, with a gas fireplace, also looks out over the water.

Below is a full walkout basement, still unfinished and already plumbed for a bathroom. No. 3 — $685,000 · 9614 Partridge Ln, Crystal Lake, Illinois

Top home sale No. 3 in McHenry County, Illinois β€” 9614 Partridge Ln, Crystal Lake, Illinois, week ending November 1, 2026

What sets 9614 Partridge Lane apart is the land around it. The Turnberry home sits on 0.55 acres and backs to conservation district woods, with no neighbors behind it, in a golf course community about 2.5 miles from Crystal Lake’s beach. It sold for $685,000.

The grounds were professionally landscaped with bluestone patios and walkways, landscape lighting, a fire pit set in crushed granite and a spot meant for a hammock. There is also a built-in gas line for the grill.

The 1977 home, finished in brick, cedar and stucco, has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and 2,900 square feet. Its kitchen was fully redone with custom quarter-sawn oak cabinets made by Amish craftsmen, a Viking range, granite counters and a cast-iron farmhouse sink. The dining room beside it has plantation shutters and oversized windows, and the family room centers on a brick fireplace with gas logs. The formal living room now serves as a billiards room. Crown molding, wainscoting and hardwood carry through much of the main floor, which also has a bedroom and a large office with a closet.

All of the bathrooms were remodeled in 2022. Upstairs, the primary bath has heated travertine floors and a travertine shower with a bench and two shower heads, and the primary suite has a custom walk-in closet. In the partially finished basement are a recreation area and a workshop wired for 220 volts. The property last sold for $335,000 in 2010.
