Lone Wolf Launches AI Tool to Predict Which Agents Brokerages Will Lose

Lone Wolf Launches AI Tool to Predict Which Agents Brokerages Will Lose

Lone Wolf Technologies announced July 28 the launch of an AI-powered tool designed to tell brokerages which of their agents are quietly considering leaving — before they walk out the door.

The product, called Talent, is the newest addition to BrokerMetrics, Lone Wolf’s brokerage analytics and market intelligence platform. It centers on an AI assistant the company calls Aspen, which draws on licensed MLS data to identify agents whose production and movement patterns match a brokerage’s growth goals, build a pitch for why a specific agent should join, flag flight-risk signals among current agents while there is still time to act, and answer broker questions in plain English.

“We’re investing in AI and the future of BrokerMetrics,” said Matt Fischer, Lone Wolf’s CEO. “Our data has always been among the best in the industry. Now it’s much easier to act on, and this is just the beginning.”

Lone Wolf built the launch around survey data the company collected on how brokerages actually manage agent turnover. Brokerages rated the value of retaining an existing agent at 8.17 out of 10, well above the value they placed on recruiting a new one, according to the survey. Yet only about 2% of brokerages said they treat retention as a deliberate strategy, and 44% said they track no flight-risk signals at all — a gap between what brokerages say matters and what they actually monitor that Lone Wolf is positioning Talent to close.

Talent will be generally available in fall 2026, with a preview available to attendees of Inman Connect San Diego. Lone Wolf, which says it serves more than 1.5 million real estate professionals across North America, has been building out BrokerMetrics’ data and analytics capabilities since acquiring data firm Terradatum in 2020. The company frames Talent as the first phase of a broader AI roadmap for BrokerMetrics built around Aspen, which it describes as an AI teammate embedded in existing broker workflows rather than a standalone chatbot.

The launch continues a wave of AI product rollouts aimed squarely at brokerage operations rather than consumer-facing search or listings. California brokerage FirstTeam Real Estate said this week it is deploying an AI operating platform from proptech firm Purlin to unify contract management, negotiations and client communications, part of a broader industry push to fold AI into the daily operations of brokerages rather than treating it as a separate tool.

What it means: The product features, executive quote and survey statistics are Lone Wolf’s own disclosures tied to a company announcement, not independently audited figures. Framing agent retention as an underused strategy is Lone Wolf’s own commercial argument for why brokerages need its new tool, which RealtyWire notes is a reasonable read of the survey figures but also serves the company’s product-marketing interest. What to watch: how brokerages that gain access ahead of the fall rollout describe the tool’s accuracy at Inman Connect San Diego, and whether flight-risk predictions hold up against actual agent departures.
