FirstTeam Real Estate, an independent brokerage based in Southern California, has partnered with proptech company Purlin to deploy an AI-powered operating platform across its agent network. The rollout includes PurlinOS, Purlin Close and Purlin Offer & Negotiate, which the companies say will unify contract management, negotiations, transactions and client communications into a single system.
Under the new platform, agents can interact with the AI system through voice, text, email or chatbot, consolidating workflows that previously required multiple separate software tools.
Part of a broader industry shift
Lauren Henss, FirstTeam’s Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Initiatives, said the move reflects a broader shift in how brokerages approach technology. “Real estate is undergoing a seismic shift, and the brokerages that will succeed are those focused on creating an integrated technology ecosystem, not just adding additional software features,” Henss said.
Purlin’s platform is already used by more than 40,000 real estate professionals across North America, according to the company. The FirstTeam partnership adds a sizable independent California brokerage to Purlin’s client base as the company continues expanding its AI operating system for real estate, mortgage and title workflows.
What it means
Verified facts: FirstTeam Real Estate is deploying Purlin’s AI operating platform across its brokerage, per the companies’ joint announcement.
RealtyWire analysis: The partnership is part of a broader wave of brokerages consolidating point-solution software into unified AI platforms, a trend RealtyWire has tracked across multiple proptech announcements this year as firms look to cut technology costs and reduce friction for agents juggling multiple systems.
What to watch: Whether FirstTeam’s agent adoption and transaction efficiency improve measurably under the new platform, and whether Purlin continues signing additional mid-size independent brokerages as it scales its footprint.
