A new condominium on Amelia Island and an acre on Ponte Vedra Boulevard joined older homes in Ortega and on Duval Drive among the week's biggest closings.

Jacksonville, Florida Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Ortega Home Leads the Week at $4.3 Million

These were the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Jacksonville metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, and together they came to $18.15 million. Three of the homes are in Duval County, with one each in Saint Johns and Nassau counties.

The group runs from a home built in 1989 to a condominium finished this year. Four of the sales were single-family homes, and the fifth was a new residence in a riverfront condominium community in Fernandina Beach.

No. 1 — $4,280,000 · 3711 Ortega Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida

The week’s top sale was in Ortega, where a Traditional-style home on 0.97 acres sold for $4,280,000. The property is on the river, and it has a circular driveway and additional parking.

Built in 1991, the two-story home has 4,741 square feet of living space, with four bedrooms and five bathrooms: four full baths and one half bath. Wood floors run through the interior, and there is a two-car garage. The property last sold for $850,000 in 1996.

Duval Drive is an enclave in the Ponte Vedra neighborhood of Jacksonville Beach, with beach access close by, and a furnished home there sold for $3,800,000. Built in 1989, it is the oldest home in this week’s Top 5 and, at 2,826 square feet, the smallest.

Lap siding gives the exterior a classic look, and there is a circular drive for visitors. A deck covered by a pergola stretches nearly the full length of the home. Walls of glass on the first floor look out on a private, wooded back yard with a heated pool and spa and a mix of open and screened decks; the screened space alone adds about 400 square feet of outdoor living.

Inside are beamed cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors and a fireplace. The four bedrooms are split between two floors. The primary suite and a second suite are downstairs, and upstairs there is another suite and one more bedroom. The home has three bathrooms and a two-car garage on a 0.32-acre lot.

Richard Forbis was the original builder, and McAneny Builders renovated the home in 2015. The property last sold for $1.478 million in 2015.
