
These are the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Grand Rapids, Michigan metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, and together they came to $8.42 million. Prices ran from $3,000,000 at the top of the list to $1,187,500 for the fifth sale.
Four of the sales were in Ottawa County and one was in Allegan County. The group includes four single-family homes and a condominium.
No. 1 — $3,000,000 · 511 N Lake Dr, Caledonia, Michigan

The top sale of the week was a home on Green Lake, a 309-acre all-sports lake in Caledonia, which sold for $3,000,000. Completed in 2023, it is the newest home in this Top 5 and, at 5,879 square feet, the largest. Its design draws on both contemporary and mid-century modern architecture, and the exterior combines stone, wood siding and fiber-cement board under a white cedar shake roof. The home stands on a 0.58-acre lot on a cul-de-sac.
The floors are hickory, and those on the main level are heated. Ceilings are tall, and the kitchen has soapstone countertops, a center island and a pantry. A sunroom is finished with a wood ceiling. There are five bedrooms and five baths, four full and one half, and the bathroom floors are heated marble. The primary suite looks out over the lake. The home has two fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the recreation room, and one of them is built to burn either gas or wood. A wet bar adds to the room for entertaining.
The living spaces open to a screened porch with retractable screens and heaters, so it can be used through the colder months, and to an outdoor entertaining area with its own kitchen. Under it all is an engineered foundation of 87 pilings that extend 83 feet to bedrock. A heated three-car garage, entered from the side, has epoxy floors. The property last sold for $1.154 million in 2021, before the current home was built.

No. 2 — $1,500,000 · 14848 152nd Ave, Grand Haven, Michigan

In Grand Haven, a home with 215 feet of frontage on the Grand River and direct access to Lake Michigan sold for $1,500,000. It sits on a level 3.10-acre lot, and the waterfront is set up for boating, with a 10,000-pound boat lift, a slip for a larger boat and 100-amp electrical service at the dock.

The property last sold for $613,900 in 2011.

Built in 1987, it is the oldest property in this Top 5, and it was recently refurbished, with solid-surface counters, new light fixtures and hardware, all-new flooring and a new stone surround on the gas fireplace in the living room.
The unit has 2,580 square feet, three bedrooms, two of them on the main level, and three baths, along with a full walkout lower level and a two-car attached garage. The community’s sandy beach is within walking distance of the pier and the state park, and residents share a heated pool, courts for tennis, pickleball and basketball, and fire rings and Adirondack chairs on the beach.

No. 4 — $1,240,000 · 5714 Nelson Dr, Hudsonville, Michigan

Built in 1996 on a wooded, rolling 0.29-acre lot, it comes with deeded association access to Lake Michigan, along with shared tennis courts and a beach area.

The kitchen is upstairs on the second floor, with high-end appliances, a wine refrigerator, a built-in espresso machine and an island large enough to eat at, and a covered deck opens off it. A three-sided fireplace stands between the dining area and a sunny family room with a custom entertainment center. That level also has a primary suite and a guest bathroom.
On the third floor are a guest bedroom, a sitting area and a second primary bedroom with its own private deck, and a rooftop deck sits above. Outside, a custom sitting area is set into the grounds. In all the home has three bedrooms and three baths, two full and one half. The property last sold for $728,000 in 2023.
