No. 1 — $1,325,000 · 2821 Payton Oaks Dr NE, Atlanta, Georgia

Top home sale No. 1 in DeKalb County, Georgia β€” 2821 Payton Oaks Dr NE, Atlanta, Georgia, week ending November 1, 2026

Built in 2007 and sold for the first time by the owner who had it custom built, this Payton Oaks home is the newest and the largest in the group, with 6,333 square feet on three levels. It has seven bedrooms, the most of the five, along with five full baths and a half bath on a private lot of 0.43 acres. The exterior is brick on all four sides, with stone, in a European-influenced traditional style.

The main level opens through a formal foyer to living and dining rooms and a private office. A bedroom with its own bath sits on this floor as well, an arrangement that suits visiting relatives or a multigenerational household. The kitchen is built for serious cooking, with three ovens, a commercial-size refrigerator, two sinks and two dishwasher drawers in addition to a full-size dishwasher. It connects to a keeping room and a casual dining area, and from there a screened sunroom and a large deck lead outside. There are four fireplaces in the home, including one in the living room.

Upstairs, the primary suite has a sitting room and a fireplace of its own and a large bath. The finished daylight basement is a full level for recreation, with a theater room, a sauna, a fitness area, a den with a fireplace, a kitchenette, game areas, a bedroom and a full bath. Doors from that level open to a wraparound patio, much of it covered, and the backyard has room for gardening and several outdoor sitting areas. The neighborhood is convenient to Emory University, Emory Healthcare and the CDC, with access to both I-85 and I-285.

The home went under contract 12 days after it was listed and sold at its full asking price of $1,325,000, the highest price of the week. Jo Gipson of Compass was the listing agent, and Chuck D Smith of Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.

No. 2 — $1,180,000 · 751 Briar Park Ct NE, Atlanta, Georgia

Top home sale No. 2 in DeKalb County, Georgia β€” 751 Briar Park Ct NE, Atlanta, Georgia, week ending November 1, 2026

Few homes in the group come with an architect’s name attached, and this one has two. The single-story home on Briar Park Court was designed by Andre Steiner and built in 1953, part of a small enclave of Steiner-designed homes beneath a mature tree canopy in Druid Hills. It sold for $1,180,000.

A new primary suite added by architect Frank Neely was designed to match the restraint of the original, so the addition and the 1953 home read as one design. Long walls of glass face a private, heavily planted yard, and bluestone pavers carry from the outdoor terraces onto the interior floors. The kitchen has a Sub-Zero refrigerator and Miele appliances. In the guest bath, a vintage midcentury bureau has been converted into a vanity, and the hall bath is finished in graduated Bisazza tile.

The primary suite is entered through a pivoting door of solid walnut. A mirrored wall inspired by Mondrian frames a built-in bed with floating walnut nightstands, and the bath is built around a freestanding bluestone tub, with a shower lined in dark green onyx slab. Custom walnut cabinetry fits out the closet. The home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,200 square feet, with all three bedrooms on the main level, on a lot of 0.31 acres.

Todd Brunsvold of Coldwell Banker Realty was the listing agent.

No. 3 — $995,000 · 262 Daniel Ave SE, Atlanta, Georgia

Top home sale No. 3 in DeKalb County, Georgia β€” 262 Daniel Ave SE, Atlanta, Georgia, week ending November 1, 2026

The oldest home in this week’s group, the Craftsman at 262 Daniel Avenue dates to 1910 and is among the early homes of historic East Lake. According to the listing, the family of Atlanta tennis player Bitsy Grant built it as a country retreat in the first years of the East Lake Golf Club. The home was renovated in 2014 with its original architectural character kept in place.

A broad front porch overlooks East Lake Park, and inside the ceilings rise above 10 feet over hardwood floors. The main level has a living room, a den, a dining room, an updated kitchen with a butler’s pantry, an office or bonus room, a large mudroom and the primary suite, which has a private bath and a professionally designed walk-in closet. The home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms in 3,000 square feet, with more bedrooms and a bath upstairs.

Behind the home, a big, level, fenced yard has a fire pit and a hot tub, and a large private deck looks out over it. East Lake Park and the golf club are steps away, and Drew Charter School and neighborhood restaurants are within walking distance.

The property last sold for $460,000 in 2014. This time it went under contract 11 days after it was listed and sold at its full asking price of $995,000. Rick E Baldwin of Keller Williams Realty was the listing agent, and Jeremy Hudgeons of Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.

Top home sale No. 4 in DeKalb County, Georgia β€” 2588 Flair Knoll Dr, Atlanta, Georgia, week ending November 1, 2026

Set among mature trees in Flair Forest, this 1963 midcentury modern home sold for $900,000. The property last sold for $315,000 in 2009. It stands on a corner lot of 0.55 acres, the largest lot of the five, and has seasonal lake views. The backyard is built around a heated saltwater pool finished in PebbleTec, with a hot tub, lush plantings, landscape lighting and several places to sit.

From the foyer, which has a water feature, the view runs through to the pool. The sunken living room has large windows and a midcentury fireplace, one of four in the home. There is also a separate dining room, and the updated kitchen has stone countertops and a large pantry. A den with its own fireplace opens to the screened porch.

Three of the four bedrooms are on the main level, among them the primary suite, which has a fireplace of its own and a bath with double vanities and a walk-in shower. That bath also gives access to a deck overlooking the pool. The remodeled lower level has its own living area and kitchen, along with the fourth bedroom, a full bath and a gym. In all, the home has four bedrooms, three full baths and a half bath in 2,886 square feet. Mary Scott Overlook Park and Briarmoor Manor Pool are both nearby.
