Cleveland, Ohio Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Rocky River Home Leads at $1.7 Million

Two 1935 homes on the same Rocky River boulevard, a brand-new Westlake colonial, a wooded Wadsworth property and a 1972 Pepper Pike contemporary made up the week's top sales.

Cleveland, Ohio Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Rocky River Home Leads at $1.7 Million

These were the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Cleveland metro area for the week ending October 11, 2026, and together they came to $6.235 million. Rocky River claimed two of the five, both on Beach Cliff Boulevard, while the others were in Westlake, Wadsworth and Pepper Pike.

The group spans nearly a century of building, from a pair of homes built in 1935 to one completed this year. Howard Hanna agents listed four of the five homes.

No. 1 — $1,690,000 · 19637 Beach Cliff Blvd, Rocky River, Ohio

Top home sale No. 1 in the Cleveland metro area β€” 19637 Beach Cliff Blvd, Rocky River, Ohio, week ending October 11, 2026

The top sale of the week was a brick home from 1935 in Rocky River’s Beachcliff I neighborhood, and it sold for $1,690,000. Its style draws on both Colonial and Tudor traditions, with an arched front door opening to a center-hall entry. The bigger story is what happened behind that facade: an addition built across three levels nearly doubled the home’s original size.

The original rooms remain at the front, including a living room with a fireplace and a formal dining room. Beyond them, the addition opened up the main level into one large space for the kitchen, a dining area and a family room. The kitchen has quartz countertops and an L-shaped island with a breakfast bar, and the family room side opens to the backyard, where there is a stone patio with a fire pit. Hardwood floors, some original and some new, run through the home.

The home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, three full and one half, in 4,687 square feet across three stories. Upstairs, the primary suite has a bath with a clawfoot tub and a walk-in shower, and a second bedroom has its own bath. The addition also expanded the finished lower level, which has a recreation room and a separate sitting room or office with a second fireplace. There is a walk-up attic above, and a detached two-car garage sits on the 10,585-square-foot lot. The property last sold for $818,000 in 2007.

Kim Crane of Howard Hanna was the listing agent, and the home went under contract six days after it was listed and sold at its full asking price. Todd A Reinart, also of Howard Hanna, represented the buyer.

Top home sale No. 2 in the Cleveland metro area β€” 30603 Carlton Ave, Westlake, Ohio, week ending October 11, 2026

The newest home in this week’s Top 5 was finished in 2026 in Westlake’s Carlton Estates, and it sold for $1,325,000. Built by EFG Custom Homes, it is a colonial with farmhouse styling, finished in stone and vinyl siding on a wooded lot of 0.44 acres.

Its open floor plan centers on a great room, and the kitchen has a pantry. A covered terrace adds outdoor living space. One bedroom is on the main level, and a large office with a walk-in closet could serve as a sixth bedroom. Top home sale No. 3 in the Cleveland metro area β€” 1185 Kings Ridge Blvd, Wadsworth, Ohio, week ending October 11, 2026

On a dead-end street in Wadsworth’s Reserve At Kings Ridge, this 2002 Colonial sits on 2.42 wooded acres, the largest lot among the five sales. It sold for $1,100,000, its full asking price.

Inside, the great room has tall windows, hardwood floors, built-ins and a fireplace. The formal dining room is finished with wainscoting, crown molding and a tray ceiling, and the kitchen has stone countertops and a large center island that opens to the main living spaces. No. 4 — $1,095,000 · 20772 Beach Cliff Blvd, Rocky River, Ohio

Top home sale No. 4 in the Cleveland metro area β€” 20772 Beach Cliff Blvd, Rocky River, Ohio, week ending October 11, 2026

On the same Rocky River boulevard as the week’s top sale, a brick Tudor built in 1935 sold for $1,095,000. The two Beach Cliff Boulevard sales came to $2,785,000 combined.

This home has been renovated from the front door to the basement. The front vestibule was rebuilt around its original 1935 door and a restored light fixture of the same era. The kitchen was redone with Amish-built cabinetry, Cambria countertops, paneled appliances, a coffee bar and an eat-in area. A family room added in 2025 has a vaulted ceiling with an exposed beam, hardwood floors and a fireplace, and next to it is a reading room with herringbone floors. A front room has a fireplace of its own.

Upstairs, the primary suite was stripped to the studs and rebuilt, with its shower set in the home’s small turret. In the basement, a recreation room has built-in cabinetry, a wet bar and polished concrete floors. Outside, there is a private rear patio, irrigation, landscape lighting and a custom shed.

The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, two full and one half, in 3,530 square feet on two stories. Its 7,492-square-foot lot is the smallest of the five, and it has an attached two-car garage and three fireplaces. The property last sold for $576,000 in 2021.

The home went under contract 14 days after it was listed. Joann Musbach of Howard Hanna was the listing agent, and Gregg M Wasilko, also of Howard Hanna, represented the buyer.
