Two country estates with pasture in Fayetteville and Milton led the week, ahead of three homes in Roswell, Marietta and Atlanta.

Atlanta, Georgia Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Fayetteville Lake Estate Leads at $4.2 Million

The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Atlanta metro area for the week ending October 18, 2026, came to a combined $14.628 million. Each sale was in a different city, and three of the five were in Fulton County, with one each in Fayette and Cobb counties.

All five are two-story single-family homes, ranging from a 1939 Tudor on a quarter acre in Atlanta’s Morningside neighborhood to an estate in Fayetteville on more than 48 acres of lakes and pasture. Between them are a renovated Colonial, a French farmhouse on a lake and a Craftsman that started life as a model home.

No. 1 — $4,225,000 · 195 Green Meadow Ln, Fayetteville, Georgia

Top home sale No. 1 in the Atlanta metro area β€” 195 Green Meadow Ln, Fayetteville, Georgia, week ending October 18, 2026

Green Meadow Farm, in the Roundtree Place area of Fayetteville, sold for $4,225,000, the top price of the week. The property covers 48.35 acres, the largest of the five, made up of two contiguous parcels: the home on 39.88 acres and an adjoining tract of 8.47 acres. A gated entrance opens onto a drive that winds through meadows to the home, which sits on a cul-de-sac.

Water defines the land. Two spring-fed lakes, stocked with bass, perch and catfish, draw deer, blue herons, owls and hawks, and a red barn with horse fencing stands among the pastures and mature trees.

The home was built in 2001 and has been renovated as a farmhouse by Gary Alford Homes. Its front porch is paved in herringbone brick salvaged from a historic building in Columbus, Georgia, and French doors of sapele wood open to a foyer set between a paneled study and a dining room. Heart pine floors run across the main level. In the great room, ceilings rise 14 feet under coffered beams and pecky cypress, and the breakfast room has a cathedral ceiling of the same wood along with a beverage bar. The kitchen has quartzite counters and a large center island, and custom doors lead to a scullery floored in brick.

A covered porch runs along the back of the home, with views of the lakes, a grilling station and a television lounge, and the main-level primary suite opens onto it. The home has five bedrooms, six bathrooms (four full and two half) and 6,036 square feet. On the terrace level are another bedroom, a full kitchen and bar, and a safe room hidden behind a vault door. The property last sold for $870,000 in 2006.

Scott Barnett of Atlanta Fine Homes – Sotheby’s Int’l was the listing agent and also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the week’s top sale. The estate sold above its asking price of $4.2 million.
