The group runs from new construction finished this year to a home built in the mid-1980s, and from a lot of less than half an acre near downtown Alpharetta to a waterfront spread of 11 acres.

No. 1 — $3,877,393 · 5315 Mount Vernon Pkwy NW, Sandy Springs, Georgia

Top home sale No. 1 in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area β€” 5315 Mount Vernon Pkwy NW, Sandy Springs, Georgia, week ending October 4, 2026

The top sale of the week was a newly built home in Powers Ferry Estates in Sandy Springs, which sold for $3,877,393. Clad in brick on all four sides, it has seven bedrooms, the most of any home in this group. There are nine bathrooms, seven full and two half, along with 7,790 square feet of living space on a 0.76-acre lot.

Rift white oak floors in wide planks and custom cabinetry run through the home. The main level has two guest suites and a full scullery, so kitchen work can stay out of view when guests are over. Across the back, one large living space is organized around a bar with a 200-bottle wine cooler. Accordion doors open from there onto a covered deck as wide as the home itself, with separate spaces for dining, grilling and sitting, all looking out over a saltwater gunite pool.

Upstairs are the primary suite, with his-and-hers closets and a door straight into the laundry room, plus three more bedrooms and a loft-style common area. The finished terrace level adds a bedroom and a cabana bath, and it is already plumbed for a kitchen or bar later on. The garage has two EV chargers. The home is within blocks of Holy Innocents’, north of Chastain Park and minutes from the Sandy Springs city center.

Marcia Weinhoff of Harry Norman Realtors and Sandy Hall-Robertson of Harry Norman Realtors were the listing agents for the week’s top sale, and Trish Hauser of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer.
