Two of the sales were in Aiken, two were in North Augusta and one was in Beech Island. One is a farm built for riders, with pastures, stalls and an arena; the other four are new homes in planned communities, most of them laid out on a single level with community pools and pickleball close at hand.
No. 1 — $1,475,000 · 508 Coleman Bridge Rd, Aiken, South Carolina

Nelson’s Rest, as the property on Coleman Bridge Road is known, is a horse farm of 20 acres in the 302 Corridor of Aiken, with rolling pasture, woods and mature live oaks. It sold for $1,475,000. Built in 1990, it is the oldest home of the five, and it sits on the largest piece of land.

The primary suite takes up the entire second floor, with views over the pastures. Downstairs is one open entertaining space, and its back wall is made of glass doors and windows that bring in the light. A few steps away is a saltwater pool inside a fenced backyard, and the property also has a single-level guest cottage with its own full kitchen and a washer and dryer.

There are ten pastures, a new barn and three more run-in sheds fitted with stalls, for as many as eight stalls in all, plus a feed room and a tack room. A hacking trail on the property runs through the woods and has some changes in elevation for conditioning. The farm is gated and enclosed by no-climb perimeter fencing, and it has two RV hook-ups. The listing puts it 10 to 15 minutes from Hitchcock Woods and Bruce’s Field.
