The five highest-priced home sales publicly reported in the San Francisco, California metro area for the week ending August 9, 2026, combined for $115.95 million. The week was led by the $70,000,000 sale of Villa de Verano, a gated Hillsborough estate set on more than 12 acres.

The remaining closings came from the Peninsula towns of Portola Valley, Woodside and Menlo Park, with a condominium at the Four Seasons Private Residences in downtown San Francisco completing the list.

The week’s top sale closed on August 6, 2026, when Villa de Verano, a gated estate at 3000 Ralston Ave in Hillsborough, sold for $70,000,000. Built in 2013 on more than 12 secluded acres, the compound opens from a tree-lined drive and motor court to the main residence, guest quarters and a sports pavilion. The main house, a reported 12,404 square feet with six bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, spans three levels served by an elevator and looks out over a swimming pool, a reflection pond and San Francisco Bay. A 4,612-square-foot guest house complements the estate; interior amenities include a fitness center, theater, game room, spa and saltwater aquarium.

The grounds hold an amphitheater, an event lawn, an Asian garden with a koi pond, a rose garden, a redwood grove and an executive-length golf course. A two-story sports lounge with a viewing platform overlooks a sunken tennis court, joined by pickleball, volleyball, badminton, bocce and shuffleboard courts and a putting green.
