No. 2 — $1,155,000 · 201 Frederick Ave, Sewickley, Pennsylvania

Top home sale No. 2 in Pittsburgh North, Pennsylvania β€” 201 Frederick Ave, Sewickley, Pennsylvania, week ending November 1, 2026

Before it was a home, the building in Sewickley that ranked second this week was Sewickley Village’s Triumph Baptist Church. Built in 1905, it is the oldest of the five homes, and it has since been converted into a single-family residence. It sold for $1,155,000.

The conversion kept the building’s sense of height. The main level is a single open space for living, dining and cooking under very high ceilings, and the original stained-glass windows, restored and protected with tempered glass, throw color across the rooms. Maple hardwood floors run through the home.

The primary suite is on the main level and opens onto a balcony at the rear that runs the full width of the home. Upstairs are two more bedrooms and a loft that can work as a library, playroom or sitting area. The finished lower level, which walks out, has a game room with a custom-built bar and a bonus room that could serve as a theater or a fitness studio. In all, the home has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a gas fireplace and 4,608 square feet of living space.

Its lot, at 8,502 square feet, is the smallest of the five. Stone walkways, aluminum fencing and retaining walls shape the landscaped grounds, and the village’s shops, restaurants and parks are steps away. The property last sold for $990,000 in 2021.

The home went under contract 16 days after it was listed. Adam Cannon of PIATT SOTHEBY’S INTERNATIONAL REALTY was the listing agent, and Julianna Morris of COLDWELL BANKER REALTY represented the buyer. It was the first of two listings in this Top 5 for PIATT SOTHEBY’S INTERNATIONAL REALTY, which also listed the No. 5 sale.
