Waterfront living ran through the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Crystal Coast & New Bern Area, North Carolina for the week ending November 1, 2026. All five are in Carteret County, and together they sold for $10.51 million.

Emerald Isle accounted for three of the sales, with one each in Morehead City and Newport. Four are single-family homes and one is a townhouse, the only new construction in the group. The list runs from an oceanfront home finished in 2024 to a soundfront home built in 1978, and in one sale the same agent was on both sides.

No. 1 — $4,500,000 · 7519 Ocean Drive, Emerald Isle, North Carolina

Top home sale No. 1 in Crystal Coast & New Bern Area, North Carolina β€” 7519 Ocean Drive, Emerald Isle, North Carolina, week ending November 1, 2026

The week’s top sale is an oceanfront home on Ocean Drive in the Surfside neighborhood of Emerald Isle, built in 2024 by Crystal Coast Construction and sold furnished for $4,500,000. With nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 7,402 square feet on a 0.53-acre lot, it is the largest of the five by living area and has the most bedrooms and bathrooms.

The home is arranged over three main floors joined by an elevator, with a lookout room at the very top. The ground level is given over to play and rest: a second kitchen, an arcade game area, a yoga and fitness room, and a dark media room with three tiers of custom seating and surround sound. A large bedroom, a bunk room with two sets of full bunks, a bathroom and three storage rooms share that floor. From there, a gated outdoor area opens onto a broad pool deck, a pool with a tanning ledge and a built-in hot tub, and a private boardwalk with a platform deck and an outdoor shower that runs hot and cold.

The second floor is the main living level, with wide views of the Atlantic. The kitchen centers on a freestanding island topped with double-thick stone and has a double Sub-Zero refrigerator, while cable rope railings on the deck keep the water in sight from the living and dining areas. The oceanfront primary suite is on this floor, with a clawfoot tub and a custom shower, along with a second bedroom that has its own bath. Six more bedrooms fill the third floor, four of them facing the ocean with doors straight out to the deck. Above it all, the lookout room has a tongue-and-groove ceiling, an oyster shell chandelier and built-in window seats. Finishes throughout include natural stone, artisan tile, plantation shutters, crystal doorknobs and custom millwork under a metal roof.

The property last sold for $1.5 million in 2021, before the current home was built. This time it went under contract 23 days after it was listed. Phyllis M Howard of Emerald Isle Realty was the listing agent and also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the sale.
