Lake Minnetonka & West Metro, Minnesota Top 5 Home Sales: A $4.5 Million Wayzata Estate Leads a Week of Shoreline Homes

The five highest-priced home sales reported in Lake Minnetonka & West Metro, Minnesota for the week ending November 1, 2026, came to a combined $18.515 million. Wayzata accounted for three of them, worth $10.505 million together, and Mound and Minnetrista had one each.

The group spans nearly seven decades of building, from a 1957 home that two later projects remade to one completed in 2025. Coldwell Banker Realty listed three of the five.

No. 1 — $4,500,000 · 465 Spring Hill Rd, Wayzata, Minnesota

Top home sale No. 1 in Lake Minnetonka & West Metro, Minnesota β€” 465 Spring Hill Rd, Wayzata, Minnesota, week ending November 1, 2026

The top sale of the week is an Italian-inspired villa on 6.46 acres at Lydiard Lake, reached through a private gated entrance. Architect Mike Sharratt designed it and Kyle Hunt built it, and the home was completed in 2010.

Inside, a two-story great room looks out over the lake, and beamed ceilings with a distressed finish run through the main rooms. The primary suite is on the main level, and three fireplaces are spread among the living room, the family room and the primary bedroom. The finished lower level walks out to the grounds. In all, the home has four bedrooms, six bathrooms and 6,715 square feet, the most living space among this week’s five sales, along with six garage spaces in attached and detached garages.

The outdoor rooms get as much attention as the indoor ones. The kitchen opens to bluestone patios and terraces, there is a screened porch fitted with Phantom screens, and a heated in-ground pool has a fireplace beside it that looks over the water. The property is in the Orono School District, close to Spring Hill Golf Club and about five minutes from downtown Wayzata. It last sold for $3.995 million in 2020.

The home went under contract 11 days after it was listed and sold for $4,500,000, $105,000 above its asking price of $4.395 million. Ellen D DeHaven of Coldwell Banker Realty and Cynthia J Redmond were the listing agents. Lezlie Dekko Bork of Edina Realty, Inc. represented the buyer.

Top home sale No. 2 in Lake Minnetonka & West Metro, Minnesota β€” 3926 Cherry Ave, Mound, Minnesota, week ending November 1, 2026

In the Crystal Bay View neighborhood of Mound, this 2015 home was designed by Tom Flint and custom-built by Stonewood on a 0.55-acre lot with about 70 feet of lake frontage. Floor-to-ceiling windows and detailed millwork define the open main floor, where the kitchen is built around a large center island and an office sits off to the side.

The dining area opens through sliding glass doors to a three-season porch with Phantom screens, infrared heaters and a fireplace set in stone. Upstairs, the primary suite has its own fireplace, a private deck and a spa-style bath, and a junior suite has a bath of its own. The walkout lower level is built for company, with a family room, a billiards area and a wet bar whose windows open to an outdoor bar. Past it is a broad patio with a dining area, a built-in fireplace and a pizza oven.

The home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and 5,064 square feet. Its garages, an attached heated three-car garage and a detached single, add up to four spaces, and the home runs on geothermal with a backup generator. The property last sold for $700,000 in 2014, before the current home was built.

It went under contract 11 days after it was listed and sold at its full asking price of $4,295,000. Jeffrey J Dewing of Coldwell Banker Realty was the listing agent, and Allison Elizabeth Watt, also of Coldwell Banker Realty, represented the buyer.

Top home sale No. 3 in Lake Minnetonka & West Metro, Minnesota β€” 1065 Bayside Ln, MINNETRISTA, Minnesota, week ending November 1, 2026

Jennings Bay is the setting for the third sale, a one-story home in the Bayside neighborhood of Minnetrista with 128 feet of south-facing shoreline, a dock and a hard sand lake bottom. It sits on a quiet cul-de-sac, and Lord Fletcher’s is within reach by boat.

Built in 1997, the home has been fully remodeled. Walls of windows face the bay from the main living spaces under high ceilings, and the kitchen opens into the living and dining areas. No. 4 — $3,050,000 · 3035 Casco Point Rd, Wayzata, Minnesota

Top home sale No. 4 in Lake Minnetonka & West Metro, Minnesota β€” 3035 Casco Point Rd, Wayzata, Minnesota, week ending November 1, 2026

The oldest home in this week’s group dates to 1957, though little about it reads that way now. Architect Mike Sharratt designed a complete renovation in 2011 and an expansion finished in 2014 and 2015, both shaped around life on the lake. The home sits at the end of a long driveway, and a garden path winds to the front door.

A vaulted wall of windows takes in a broad southwest view of the water. Structural beams tied with custom steel leave the main level fully open, and the kitchen is equipped with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. A stone and timber fireplace anchors the main living area.

The favorite room may be the three-plus-season porch at deck level. It has a stacked-stone and timber fireplace and a concealed television, and electric screens open two of its walls in summer. Insulated walls and floors and dual-pane windows let it be closed up for the colder months.

The walkout lower level has a wine room, a pool table area and a custom wet bar, plus a family room where a stone and timber fireplace faces a wall of bookshelves. An addition on the south side links the lake and yard to the indoor spaces, with changing areas. The vaulted primary suite has a private deck with lake views. The yard is flat, lined with gardens and privacy trees, and runs down to a sandy-bottomed shoreline with a dock and boat covers.

The home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and 4,466 square feet on 0.53 acres, with a two-car garage. The property last sold for $975,000 in 2011.

It sold for $3,050,000. Gary Petersen of Coldwell Banker Realty and Ian J Petersen were the listing agents, and Tara Engebretson of Compass represented the buyer.

No. 5 — $2,955,000 · 3061 Lake Shore Blvd, Wayzata, Minnesota

Top home sale No. 5 in Lake Minnetonka & West Metro, Minnesota β€” 3061 Lake Shore Blvd, Wayzata, Minnesota, week ending November 1, 2026

The newest home in the Top 5 was completed in 2025 on Libbs Lake, which connects to Lake Minnetonka, with nearly 50 feet of lakeshore. It is in the Thorpe Bros Rgt Groveland Shores neighborhood of Wayzata, a short walk from Libbs Lake Park and Gray’s Bay Marina, and a new boardwalk leads into downtown Wayzata.

The home is planned around the water, with lake views from most rooms and four separate outdoor living spaces, among them a screened porch and a deck. The primary suite has a private balcony. For recreation there are a sport court and a spa room with a sauna and a cold plunge. One laundry room is upstairs near the bedrooms, and a second is on the walkout lower level, convenient after time on the court or the lake.

The home has six bedrooms, the most among this week’s five, along with five bathrooms, 5,999 square feet and a four-car tandem garage on 0.30 acres. The property last sold for $1.02 million in 2024, before the current home was built.
