No. 1 — $1,750,000 · 4357 Lakehill Lane, Bellingham, Washington

Top home sale No. 1 in Bellingham-Whatcom County, Washington β€” 4357 Lakehill Lane, Bellingham, Washington, week ending November 1, 2026

The top sale of the week is a modern home finished in 2023 on 2.10 acres in Geneva, set on a private dead-end road with trail access that links to Galbraith Mountain. It sold for $1,750,000. John Hindman built it as a custom home, and the design leans on southern light: vaulted ceilings and large windows run through the rooms, and French doors and a deck look out over green space.

Inside, the floors are brushed oak engineered hardwood, with carpet in places and electric radiant heat in the main bathrooms. The kitchen has custom cabinetry and a seven-burner professional range, and there is a pantry and a separate dining room. A gas fireplace warms the main level, where three of the five bedrooms are. The home has four bathrooms and 2,972 square feet, and it includes a guest suite with two bedrooms, one bath and its own entrance, suited to visiting family or guests.

The exterior is fire-resistant cement fiber siding and shingles under a standing-seam metal roof, and the walls were sealed for energy efficiency. Outside are nectarine, cherry and apple trees and a seasonal creek, along with a large parking area with room for an RV or trailer and a charger for an electric car. Stimpson Family Nature Reserve, Lookout Mountain, Bloedel Donovan and Whatcom Falls Park are each a short drive away. The property last sold for $270,000 in 2021, before the current home was built.

Leo Cohen and Jay Chen of Bellingham Real Estate Company were the listing agents. Jeff Engen of MJB Real Estate Group represented the buyer.

Outside Blaine, a contemporary two-story home completed in 2026 sits on 70.46 gated acres, the largest and newest home in this week’s group. It sold for $1,608,750 and went under contract seven days after it was listed.

The home has six bedrooms, three baths and 3,547 square feet, more bedrooms and more living space than any other sale this week. Upstairs are a bonus room and a finished storage room that could be turned into more bedrooms.

The land is the larger part of the story. The property also includes a second dwelling with three bedrooms and one bath, converted from a shop built in 2023, and it can be returned to shop space in whole or in part. The acreage is zoned forestry and comes with three deeded water shares, a natural gas well and mineral rights, along with outbuildings, a patio and RV parking. Shops and restaurants are about seven minutes away, and downtown Bellingham is about 20 minutes south. The property last sold for $750,000 in 2024, before the current home was built.
