Five single-family homes in five different cities made up the highest-priced home sales reported in Ventura County, California for the week ending November 1, 2026. Together they sold for $14.13 million.
The group stretches from the coast at Oxnard to the hills of Ojai, with stops in Ventura, Camarillo and Thousand Oaks. It runs from a home finished in 2022, the only new construction of the five, to one built in 1974, and from a lot of 4,000 square feet to a property of two acres.
No. 1 — $4,000,000 · 1038 Scenic Way Dr, Ventura, California

The most expensive sale of the week was a home that did not exist a few years ago. Completed in 2022 in the Clearpoint community, an area the listing describes as revitalized after the 2017 Thomas Fire, the Mediterranean-style home at 1038 Scenic Way Drive in Ventura sold for $4,000,000. The property last sold for $640,000 in 2021, before the current house was built.
The home is a single story of 4,100 square feet on 0.78 acres, with five bedrooms, all on one level, and seven bathrooms. Its center is a great room with beamed ceilings rising more than 12 feet and glass walls that slide away to open the room to the landscaped grounds. Wood floors run through the interior, and there are fireplaces in the great room and the family room. Behind the kitchen, a butler’s pantry has its own sink, dishwasher and refrigeration.
Outside, about 1,300 square feet of covered living space faces the yard, where a heated pool is the main attraction. The outdoor kitchen has grill stations, a pizza oven and a griddle, and there is a fire pit. Avocado and citrus trees fill a private orchard, joined by a few cherry, peach and fig trees. Up on a terrace sits a detached clubhouse that works as a lounge or media room, next to a fenced pickleball court lit for play after dark. From that upper terrace the views take in the Pacific Ocean, the Channel Islands and the coastline, and the property also looks out over the harbor, the canyon and the city lights.
Karen Davidson of RESOURCE REAL ESTATE was the listing agent, and Jana Scarborough, also of RESOURCE REAL ESTATE, represented the buyer in the top sale of the week.

No. 2 — $3,010,000 · 6784 Calle Luminoso, Camarillo, California

Craftsmanship in stone defines 6784 Calle Luminoso, a custom Mediterranean villa on a cul-de-sac in the Mission Oaks area of Camarillo. Built in 2002, it went under contract 15 days after it was listed and sold for $3,010,000, above its asking price of $2.95 million.
At 7,790 square feet, it was the largest home of the five, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms on a lot of 0.46 acres. Much of the interior work, including marble throughout the home and the pool house, was done by Zeolla Marble, and onyx appears alongside it. The kitchen pairs a Wolf range and Sub-Zero refrigeration with mud stone countertops and a walk-in pantry. Under the staircase, set off with custom wrought iron, is a refrigerated wine closet. A double-sided fireplace serves both the living room and the dining room, and there is also a library.
The primary suite is on the main level, and its bath has onyx and celadon vanities and heated marble floors. Three more bedrooms are upstairs, each with its own bath and walk-in closet. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers, and the powder room has a marble vanity and Mylar wallpaper.
Behind the home, a pool and spa look out to the hills and mountains, and a flat lawn gives room to spread out. The separate pool house, with brick floors, has its own bedroom and bath in 939 square feet. A wood- and gas-fired pizza oven and a stone fireplace anchor the outdoor entertaining area. The three-car garage covers more than 700 square feet and has a high ceiling.

No. 4 — $2,300,000 · 800 Oak Grove Ct, Ojai, California

Two acres in the gated Rancho Matilija community give 800 Oak Grove Court the most land of any home this week. Built in 1985, the home draws on the farmhouses of Andalusia in southern Spain. Its walls are thick white stucco under a curved clay tile roof, the floors are terracotta tile, and wood beams cross the ceilings. A tower rises above the property and looks out over the surrounding land. Inside, the living room and kitchen share one open space under high ceilings, with a separate dining room and family room.
The home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 3,697 square feet. In the primary suite there is a large walk-in closet, a bath with a separate tub and shower, and a private patio that leads out to the back yard.
