No. 1 — $9,400,000 · 1924 Alameda Diablo, Diablo, California

Top home sale No. 1 in Tri-Valley, California — 1924 Alameda Diablo, Diablo, California, week ending October 25, 2026

A pair of gates, one opening from Alameda Diablo and the other from La Cadena, leads into the property known as Hacienda de las Palmas, which sold for $9,400,000. The Spanish-style home was built in 1950 and has since been reimagined. It is the largest home in this week’s group, with 6,992 square feet of living space, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, and its 1.53 acres make up the biggest lot of the five. Part of that land is a separate parcel that has not been built on. Diablo Country Club is a short walk away.

The stucco home keeps its original vaulted living room ceiling with exposed wood beams, and there are fireplaces in both the living room and the family room. The kitchen has quartz counters, premium appliances and a large butler’s pantry, and there is a formal dining room, a breakfast nook and a dedicated wine room. The primary suite has its own coffee nook. A secluded office has its own full bathroom and a balcony looking out over the grounds and the hills.

Outside, tall palms rise over patios laid with Spanish ceramic tile and a broad, level lawn enclosed by mature hedges. A rectangular pool, added in 2021 and heated by gas, sits at the center of the outdoor spaces. Beside it is a 1,585-square-foot casita with a family room, a bedroom, two bathrooms and a room for changing or exercise. The property also has a remodeled barn for entertaining and a garage built for golf carts, along with an attached two-car garage. The property last sold for $3.2 million in 2006.

Mary Bonham and Erin Carrigg of The Agency were the listing agents, and Erin Carrigg also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the week’s top sale.
