No. 1 — $14,000,000 · 51 Echo Gln, Irvine, California

On a 0.92-acre corner lot in Shady Canyon, in Irvine, the top sale of the week is a home built in 2009 with 15,024 square feet of living space. It sold for $14,000,000. It is the largest of the five homes, on the largest lot, and it has the most bedrooms, bathrooms and garage spaces in the group.
The design is long and horizontal, spread out across the land, and the interiors open toward the canyons and hills. The home has seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, eight of them full baths and five of them half baths. No. 2 — $10,900,000 · 1123 E Balboa Blvd, Newport Beach, California

The finishes lean natural and coastal: custom white oak cabinetry, soft plaster walls, natural stone and handcrafted tile. The kitchen connects to the main living spaces, which look out to the ocean. Each of the four bedrooms has its own bath, and the home has six bathrooms in all and 2,851 square feet of living space, with fireplaces in the family room and the primary bedroom.
