The five highest-priced home sales reported in Inner East Bay, California for the week ending October 25, 2026 came to a combined $22.39 million. All five are in Alameda County, spread across Piedmont, Fremont, Berkeley and two Oakland neighborhoods, Crocker Highlands and Rockridge.
Prices ran from $3,650,000 to $6,000,000. The oldest of the homes dates to 1914, and the newest, in Fremont, to 1979.
No. 1 — $6,000,000 · 45 Highland Ave, Piedmont, California

The top sale of the week was a Colonial on Highland Avenue in Piedmont, which sold for $6,000,000. Its current owners renovated it from top to bottom between 2011 and 2019, and the work went well beyond the surface: new systems, a foundation with extensive seismic retrofitting, and a fully permitted accessory dwelling unit with a private entrance and an address of its own. The property last sold for $1.104 million in 2011.
A foyer and a central staircase open to formal living and dining rooms. The renovation kept the original detailing, including box-beamed ceilings, hand-detailed moldings, French doors and hardwood floors. Several of the main rooms have bay views, and the home’s views also take in the Bay Bridge, downtown and the city lights. Upstairs are the primary suite and two sunny rooms suited to home offices or a study, and an attic leaves room to expand. At 4,765 square feet, the home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, two full and three half.
The 8,276-square-foot lot slopes down from a tree-lined street. Behind the stucco home, the large backyard has been landscaped with custom stonework and mature gardens, and there is a generous rear deck. The two-car garage has a workshop, and the property has electric-vehicle charging. Piedmont’s public schools, Dracena and Exedra parks and Mulberry’s Market are all within a few blocks.
The home went under contract three days after it was listed and sold $1.702 million above its $4.298 million asking price. Sarah Abel and Julie Gardner, both of Compass, were the listing agents, and Anja Plowright of The Grubb Co. Inc. represented the buyer. Abel and Gardner also listed the week’s No. 3 sale, in Crocker Highlands.

No. 2 — $4,602,000 · 44500 Parkmeadow Dr, Fremont, California

In Fremont’s Weibel neighborhood, a contemporary home on Parkmeadow Drive sold for $4,602,000 after a renovation, done with permits, that reached every part of the home. The kitchen is built around a Porcelanosa waterfall island, with Thermador appliances, built-in refrigeration, a hidden pantry and a Zephyr hood.
Vaulted and open-beam ceilings and large windows bring light into the interiors, and a glass railing lines the staircase. The living room has a gas fireplace. The home has six bedrooms and four bathrooms in 4,506 square feet, with the bedrooms divided evenly between its two floors. Upstairs there is a family room, and the primary suite has a walk-in closet and a spa-style bath with a floating vanity. A finished, permitted sunroom adds to the living space, and windows on several sides look toward the hillsides of Mission Peak and the city lights.
The gently sloping lot covers 0.41 acres, the largest of the five. The fenced, private backyard has broad lawns, mature redwoods and fruit trees, along with a porcelain patio and a shaded deck. A three-car garage, finished with an epoxy floor, completes the property.
The home went under contract seven days after it was listed and sold $414,000 above its $4.188 million asking price. The Heng Seroff Group of Compass was on both sides of the sale, as the listing agent and as the buyer’s agent.

On Ashmount Avenue in Oakland’s Crocker Highlands, a traditional stucco home built in 1915 sold for $4,128,000. It has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, three full and two half, in 4,140 square feet, on a 9,583-square-foot lot that slopes down. The front and back are landscaped, with gardens and room for play, and there is a detached two-car garage. The property last sold for $1.53 million in 2009.
The home went under contract the day it was listed and sold $378,000 above its $3.75 million asking price. Upstairs, the primary suite includes a bright den or sitting area, a walk-through closet and its own bath. A third bedroom on that floor has coved ceilings, and an updated bathroom there has a shower and a freestanding tub. Below the main floor, a full basement remains open to a new owner’s plans. With wood siding outside, the two-story home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,905 square feet on a 5,227-square-foot lot.
Passion fruit vines and miniature Meyer lemon, nectarine and peach trees fill the front landscaping. In the backyard, apple trees mark the start of an orchard. Solano Avenue, with its coffee shops, restaurants and stores, is a block away. The property last sold for $2.15 million in 2022.
The home went under contract 16 days after it was listed and sold $1.715 million above its $2.295 million asking price. Anna Bellomo of District Homes was the listing agent, and Dana S. Cohen of The GRUBB Company represented the buyer.
