The five highest-priced home sales reported on Oahu for the week ending October 11, 2026, added up to $19.175 million. Four of the homes are in Honolulu and one is in Kailua, and every one is a single-family home: three with two stories and two on a single level.
The list runs from a gated estate on one of the island’s best-known oceanfront streets to homes on ridge-top lots facing the sea and the Koolau Mountains. The newest was built in 2020 and the oldest in 1952.
No. 1 — $8,700,000 · 4714 Kahala Ave, Honolulu, Hawaii

The week’s top sale was a gated estate on Kahala Avenue in the Kahala Area of Honolulu, which sold for $8,700,000. Access to Kahala Beach and the ocean sits directly across the street from the property.
Built in 1987 and recently renovated, the two-story home has six bedrooms, four full baths and two half baths, and 6,254 square feet of living area, the most bedrooms, the most bathrooms and the largest living area among the five sales. Its masonry and stucco exterior encloses a flexible plan with several living areas, guest quarters and three separate offices, and there are suites on both floors. The kitchen was built with walnut cabinetry and appliances by Miele and Wolf, and a formal dining room includes a wet bar. Stone flooring runs through the interiors.
Outside, on a level, landscaped lot with garden views, the home opens to an in-ground pool and the yard, and a detached fitness bungalow stands on the grounds. The property last sold for $2.95 million in 2012.
Noel Pietsch Shaw of Hawaii Life was the listing agent, and Tracy Allen of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer.

No. 2 — $2,800,000 · 5872 Haleola St, Honolulu, Hawaii

The newest home in this week’s group, completed in 2020, sold for $2,800,000 at 5872 Haleola Street in Niu Valley. The property last sold for $860,000 in 2006, before the current home was built.
Wide glass sliders and LaCantina stacking doors open the interior to a private backyard with a pool and spa, a covered lanai and a pool house. There are no neighbors behind the lot, and mature fruit trees and tropical plantings fill the grounds, which look out toward the ocean, the coastline and the mountains.
The two-story home has five bedrooms, one of which can serve as a study, along with a separate den, three full baths and a half bath, and 3,182 square feet of living area. The kitchen is fitted with Bosch and Thermador appliances. A 28-panel solar system with two Powerwall batteries supplies power, the pool and spa run on Pentair automation controlled by app, and the landscaping is watered by a Rain Bird irrigation system. An outdoor shower sits opposite the half bath and is already tied into the sewer line, so it could later become a full bath.
Chelsey K Flanagan of Kobatake Realty LLC was the listing agent. Jaymes K Song of REMAX Hawaii represented the buyer.

No. 3 — $2,625,000 · 134 Hoahana Pl, Honolulu, Hawaii

High on the Koolau range in Napali Haweo, a board-and-batten plantation-style home on a rim lot sold for $2,625,000. From its perch on a cul-de-sac at 134 Hoahana Place, the home has views of the sunrise, the ocean, Koko Head and the Kaiwi coastline, reaching to Lanai and Molokai and, when the air is clear, Maui.
Built in 1994 and kept in its original condition, the two-story home has five bedrooms, four full baths and a half bath, and 4,050 square feet of living area. Its plan suits an extended family. A bedroom and a full bath are on the main floor, and three of the bedrooms have their own baths. The front porch leads to two separate entrances, each with its own living space, and the kitchen is built around a large island with two of nearly everything: stoves, ovens, refrigerators and sinks.
Outside, a deck beside the above-ground pool catches the cool trade winds, and the lot is landscaped. The home also has a two-car garage.
Wendy Lee Akai of REMAX Hawaii was the listing agent, and Michael Shower of Compass represented the buyer.

No. 4 — $2,550,000 · 7421 Kamehame Pl, Honolulu, Hawaii

On Kamehame Ridge in Hawaii Kai, a single-level home at 7421 Kamehame Place sold for $2,550,000. The view sweeps from Koko Crater to Diamond Head and back to the mountains, taking in the ocean, the marina and the sunset.
Unlike many hillside homes, this one sits on a level rim lot on a quiet cul-de-sac, with no neighbors behind it. The large, flat backyard has a saltwater pool, and the property also has three terraced levels planted with mature fruit trees.
Built in 1982, the home has five bedrooms, four full baths and a half bath, and 2,847 square feet of living area. Two of the bedrooms are primary suites, an arrangement that works for guests or for several generations under one roof. The home runs on 32 owned solar panels. The property last sold for $1.495 million in 2019.
The home went under contract 16 days after it was listed. Jennifer AS Ishii of Compass was the listing agent, and Myron N Kiriu of REMAX Hawaii represented the buyer. Compass was the listing brokerage on two of this week’s top five sales.

The oldest home on the list, built in 1952, sold for $2,500,000 at 294 Awakea Road in Kailua Estates, about a ten-minute walk from Kailua Beach. It was the only sale in this week’s top five outside Honolulu.
A tiled pool and a spa sit on a wide pool deck, the spacious yard is planted with mature tropical vegetation, and a lime tree on the property goes by the name Eileen. The one-story home has three bedrooms, two full baths and a half bath, and 2,545 square feet of living area in an open plan. A separate apartment can also be used as a private primary suite a few steps from the pool and spa. Owned solar panels, split air conditioning, gas cooking and an oversized garage round out the property, and the shops and services of Kailua town are a short bike ride away.
Alesia D Barnes of Compass and Cammie Fawcett of Compass were the listing agents, and Sarah F Baker of Island Living Homes represented the buyer. With this sale and the Kamehame Ridge home, Compass listed two of the week’s top five.
