These are the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Syracuse metro area for the week ending October 11, 2026, and each came from a different Onondaga County community: Fayetteville, Skaneateles, Cicero, Clay and Baldwinsville. Together they totaled $3.34 million, with prices from $603,500 to $750,000.
The group takes in a Colonial in Skaneateles rebuilt from the studs out, a home on the lake in Cicero and a ranch in Clay built in 2018, the newest home of the five and the only one with a single story. In one of the sales, the same agent was on both sides.
No. 1 — $750,000 · 7942 Salt Springs Rd, Fayetteville, New York

The oldest home in the group is also the largest. Built in 1820, the two-story Fayetteville home sold for $750,000. It stands on a wooded 2.50-acre corner lot and has seven bedrooms, three full baths and a half bath, three fireplaces and 4,389 square feet of living space.
The property comes with a piece of local farm history. According to the listing, it was once Dotshome Farm, which belonged to Frank E. Dawley, an agricultural innovator. In its original form the farm covered more than 640 acres, grew more than 18 varieties of alfalfa and introduced Karakul sheep to the region. The property last sold for $395,000 in 2016.
High ceilings and inlaid hardwood floors are found throughout the home. The main level has a kitchenette and a mudroom as well as a solarium, a sitting room, a half bath, and formal living and dining rooms. An office doubles as a first-floor bedroom, and the laundry room can serve as another. Upstairs are the primary suite, with its own bath, and a front suite with a sitting room and full bath. A separate rear wing has three more bedrooms that share a full bath, along with their own sitting room and a private rear staircase to the lower level. The full walk-out basement has storage, a wine cellar and a planting shed that opens directly to the grounds.
The outbuildings are a large part of the property. A detached barn has a workshop, garage space for six vehicles on its main and lower levels, and a third-floor loft that looks out over the grounds. There is also an in-ground pool and a two-story pool house set up as a guest retreat, with a full kitchen, a powder room, a loft sleeping area and a midcentury-modern fireplace. A staircase from the pool house’s storage level leads to a wraparound deck.
The home went under contract five days after it was listed. Sarah Collins of Hunt Real Estate ERA was the listing agent, and Kirk Gilchrist of Bridgeview Real Estate represented the buyer.
