The five highest-priced home sales reported in the South Twin Cities Area, Minnesota for the week ending November 1, 2026 added up to $4.81 million. All five were single-family homes in Dakota County, each in a different city: Northfield, Inver Grove Heights, Mendota Heights, Hastings and Lakeville.
The group leaned toward custom-built homes from the late 1990s through the early 2010s, the oldest finished in 1998 and the newest in 2012. Two are one-story homes with finished lower levels, and three are two-story designs.
No. 1 — $1,200,000 · 32457 Alexander Ct, Northfield, Minnesota

The top sale of the week is a one-story custom home in Alta View, set on 3.00 acres about a ten-minute drive from historic downtown Northfield. Built in 2012, it is the newest home on this list and, at 5,226 square feet, the largest. Its walls are insulated concrete forms, and the home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, four fireplaces and garage space for five cars. It sold for $1,200,000.
The main level is open, with high ceilings and large expanses of glass. The kitchen is built around an AGA range, with Cambria countertops and Frigidaire Professional refrigeration, and a scullery with a walnut butcher-block counter keeps prep work and storage out of view. The primary suite has its own fireplace, a walk-in closet, a private laundry and a bath with a freestanding tub and an oversized walk-in shower finished in basket-weave tile. From the suite, a door leads directly out to a deck that looks across rolling hills and farmland.
Downstairs, the walkout lower level has a second living room with a wet bar, a sauna, a second laundry room and two large bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet, connected by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Space there is roughed in for another bedroom and bathroom. The garages are split between a three-car attached garage and a two-car detached one, and an unfinished loft sits above the larger of the two.
Outside, a pergola covers an outdoor living room with one more fireplace, and a pond fed by a running stream sits in the backyard. The grounds also include a gazebo, a storage shed, a fenced dog run beside the home and an invisible fence around the yard. The property last sold for $69,900 in 2011, before the current home was built.
