Top home sale No. 1 in South Jersey Shore (New Jersey) β€” 130 74th St, Avalon, New Jersey, week ending October 25, 2026

The top sale of the week was a beachfront home in Avalon’s south end, which sold for $14,925,000. Built in 2019, it is the newest home on the list. It has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the most bathrooms of the five, in 4,150 square feet on three floors, set on a 6,600-square-foot lot. Shingle siding covers the outside, and wood floors run through the inside.

The plan is upside down, lifting the main living space to the second floor. Two bedrooms with their own baths share that floor with the kitchen, a pantry and a living room that has a fireplace and a view of the ocean. Partly covered sundecks on that level look out over the beach and the ocean. The first floor has a second living room, two more en-suite bedrooms and a laundry room. The top floor is given to the primary suite, which has its own washer and dryer, and an office that can serve as a sixth bedroom. The home also has an elevator, cathedral ceilings and an attached garage.

Outside are a heated pool, a hot tub, a cabana and a patio, steps from the sand, with landscaped grounds and a paver driveway. The property last sold for $11.15 million in 2021.

John P O’Dea Jr of COMPASS RE – Avalon Dune was the listing agent for the week’s top sale, and Jake Callahan of FERGUSON-DECHERT, INC represented the buyer.
