The five sales span Hillsborough, Portola Valley, Woodside, Menlo Park and San Francisco, with build years running from 2004 to 2026. Peninsula houses take the first four positions, and a residence at the Four Seasons Private Residences closes the list. Compass held the listing side on the Portola Valley, Woodside and San Francisco closings.
No. 1 — $70,000,000 · 3000 Ralston Ave, Hillsborough, California

A gated Hillsborough compound produced the metro’s highest reported closing of the week. The six-bedroom estate at 3000 Ralston Ave, known as Villa de Verano, closed on August 6, 2026 for $70,000,000. Completed in 2013, the main residence carries a reported 12,404 square feet across three levels served by an elevator, with 17 bathrooms recorded across the property and a tree-lined drive leading to a motor court.
