The transaction ranked No. 1 in RealtyWire’s Top 5 reported home sales for the Providence, Rhode Island metro area, and Grace Cimo McCluskey of Gustave White Sotheby’s Realty carried the listing. The sale closed at its full asking price on September 23, 2026. The house went under contract 15 days after the current listing date.
The week’s highest reported price, $4.50 million, went to a five-bedroom Victorian at 28 Mount Vernon St in Newport’s Kay neighborhood. Built in 1847 on about a third of an acre, the house carries a reported 4,790 square feet over four stories. The property previously changed hands for $1,950,000 in 2025.
