These are the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Northwest Indiana Area for the week ending November 1, 2026, and together they totaled $5.28 million. All five were in Lake County, each in a different town, and prices ran from $849,900 to $1,540,000.
Only the top sale passed $1 million. The group spans more than a century of building, from a home put up in 1910 to two that were completed this year.
No. 1 — $1,540,000 · 9014 E 129th Ave, Winfield, Indiana

The oldest home in this Top 5 stands on its largest piece of land: 110 acres in Winfield, with a pond, stretches of woods and a private, landscaped yard. From the home, the views take in the pond, the trees and the open rural land around them.
The two-story home dates to 1910 and has been brought up to date while keeping its period character. It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, two full and one half, in 3,564 square feet. There are four fireplaces, wood-burning and gas, in the living room, the great room and the family room, and the country kitchen has a pantry. Front and rear porches open the home to the grounds.
The working side of the property is just as substantial. Beyond the heated, attached three-car garage, a 40-by-60-foot pole barn has electricity, a concrete floor and a built-in shop, and a nine-kilowatt generator backs up the home.
The property sold for $1,540,000, the highest price of the week. David Taylor and Sofia Espinoza of McColly Real Estate were the listing agents, and Traci Van Gundy, also of McColly Real Estate, represented the buyer.

No. 4 — $945,000 · 11700 Westvalley Dr, Crown Point, Indiana

The largest home of the five, with 6,708 square feet, is a walkout ranch built in 2018 on 2.47 wooded acres at the Darnell Gulliver Estate in Crown Point. A winding drive passes a 30-by-60-foot pole barn on its way to the home, which sits on a cul-de-sac with views of woods and countryside. The listing places it blocks from Crown Point Square.
The single-story plan splits the bedrooms. The primary suite, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a large walk-in closet, has a bath with a double walk-in rain shower behind glass, a soaking tub and a granite double vanity with a built-in bench. The other two bedrooms are on the far side of the home, with a full guest bath and the main-floor laundry. In all, the home has three bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Hickory floors run through the living room, where a natural-stone gas fireplace and a butler’s beverage bar share the room with wide views of the grounds. The kitchen has soft-close Brazilian cherry cabinets, an oversized island, side-by-side professional refrigeration and a built-in Bosch oven.
A formal staircase descends to a 3,354-square-foot walkout lower level, partly finished, with Andersen windows and its own access to the garage. The home has garage space for six cars, and an additional garage has nine- and 11-foot doors with electricity installed. A Trex deck overlooks the land, and the yard is ready for an in-ground pool.
The home went under contract eight days after it was listed and sold for $945,000. Tiffany Dowling and Robert Szafranski of Keller Williams Preferred Real were the listing agents, and William Kornblum of Realty Executives Premier represented the buyer.
