The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Newark-Granville Area, Ohio for the week ending November 1, 2026, came to a combined $2.54 million. All five are single-family homes in Licking County, and they split into two kinds of property: country ranches with room for animals, workshops and equipment, and newer two-story homes in planned neighborhoods.
Newark accounted for two of the sales, both in Park Trails, while Pataskala, Utica and Johnstown had one each. The third- and fourth-ranked sales closed at the same price, and every home on the list was built between 1990 and 2007.
No. 1 — $570,000 · 8103 York Rd SW, Pataskala, Ohio

The top sale of the week was a working country property. The single-story ranch at 8103 York Road SW in Pataskala sold for $570,000, and it sits on 4.27 acres with a partially fenced pasture, mature fruit trees and open green space. Built in 1990, it is the oldest of the five homes.
Much of the appeal is outside. A 24-by-50-foot horse barn has water and electric service, with a 12-foot lean-to running along each side, and a chicken coop stands on its back side. There is garage space for five cars in all, including a detached two-car garage and workshop that is insulated, heated and wired for 220-volt service. There is also a separate 10-by-14-foot office, heated and cooled, that could serve a home business or a studio. An outdoor living area of 588 square feet has an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace, and a concrete front patio of 572 square feet is shaded by a large pergola.
Inside, the home has three bedrooms, all on the main level, two bathrooms and 1,944 square feet. A 720-square-foot addition created a great room, the kitchen was recently updated, and a wood-burning stove warms the home. Broad Street, Interstate 70 and State Route 161 are all within easy reach.
Donald E Shaffer of Howard HannaRealEstateServices was the listing agent and also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the sale. Howard HannaRealEstateServices listed two of this week’s five top sales, the first- and third-ranked.
