Top home sale No. 1 in Lake County Inland & North, Illinois — 622 Innsbruck Ct, Libertyville, Illinois, week ending October 25, 2026

Butler Lake and a wooded walking trail lie behind 622 Innsbruck Court in Libertyville, which sold for $2,425,000. The home is on a quiet cul-de-sac on 0.60 acres, and the property has direct access to the trail, which leads to Libertyville High School.

The home dates to 1970, but it was rebuilt from the ground up in 2009. An addition in 2018 brought a second-floor room that can serve as a fitness or bonus room, with a balcony looking out over the pool and gardens, and on the main level it enlarged the family room, which now has a custom bar. The owners also dug a new foundation to gain storage space. The kitchen was remodeled in 2020 with quartz counters, new cabinets, a Viking range and a Sub-Zero refrigerator, and there is a beverage refrigerator in the butler’s pantry.

The exterior is cedar shake and stone, finished with window boxes and perennial gardens. The home has 6,953 square feet, five bedrooms, five full baths and a half bath, two laundry rooms and a finished basement that walks out to the backyard. Out back, landscaped grounds surround the pool and a large patio with an outdoor bar and a built-in grill. The attached parking is split between a two-car garage and a separate one-car garage. The property last sold for $1.24 million in 2010.

The home went under contract 22 days after it was listed. Cynthia Lenihan of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate was the listing agent for the week’s highest-priced sale, and Kevin Terry of Compass represented the buyer.

Top home sale No. 2 in Lake County Inland & North, Illinois — 151 Palmer Cir, Vernon Hills, Illinois, week ending October 25, 2026

The home at 151 Palmer Circle in the Greggs Landing neighborhood of Vernon Hills was first built as a custom home builder’s own residence, and construction took nearly two years. In the kitchen are two islands, a walk-in pantry, Bosch commercial-grade appliances and Volga Blue granite counters imported from Ukraine, and the eating area opens to a deck.

A main-level bedroom has its own full bath. The primary suite has a private balcony, a sitting room and a large walk-in closet, and the other bedrooms have turreted and barrel-vaulted ceilings. The walkout lower level has a recreation room with Italian tile, a marble-surround fireplace and a wraparound wet bar, as well as a self-contained suite with its own living room, exterior entrance, second kitchen, bedroom and full bath.

The property is on a cul-de-sac, with a circular drive and a water fountain at its center. Outside, a 40-foot heated saltwater pool has a tanning ledge and an automatic safety cover, and a covered patio shelters a seven-person Jacuzzi spa. Some 112 arborvitae, many now 18 feet tall, give the grounds their privacy, along with mature cherry, fig and mulberry trees. The property last sold for $975,000 in 2020.
