A California Modern custom home finished this year in Ada sold for $1.96 million to lead the five highest-priced home sales publicly reported in the Grand Rapids, Michigan metro area for the week ending August 16, 2026. Together the five closings totaled $6.68 million.

Ada appears twice on this week’s list, with the other sales closing in the North Shore Estates community at Spring Lake, in Hudsonville and in West Olive. All five properties sit on acreage, from about an acre and a half to 4.49 acres, and their build years run from 1981 to this year.
