These were the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Fort Wayne, Indiana metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, and together they came to $4.24 million. Two of the homes are in Fort Wayne, and the others are in Markle, Columbia City and Huntertown, across Allen, Wells and Whitley counties.
All five are single-family homes, and none is older than 2002. Three are one-story designs, and three sit on several acres of rural land, where finished walkout basements, outbuildings and a backyard pool share the story with the rooms upstairs.
No. 1 — $1,200,000 · 4242 Osiris Ln, Fort Wayne, Indiana

The top sale of the week was a home finished this year in The Villages of Arneo, a Fort Wayne community, which sold for $1,200,000. Preston Allen Homes custom-designed it in a style it calls Modern European Transitional, with brick and vinyl siding outside, and it sits on a level 0.36-acre lot beside a pond, close to a walking trail.
The home rises three stories and has 5,087 square feet, five bedrooms and five bathrooms, four of them full and one a half bath. The main level is the most finished in its detail, with crown molding, ceilings of nine feet and more, and a private office paneled in custom wood under a coffered ceiling. The kitchen opens to the main living area, where the fireplace is, and is built around an oversized island, with a large prep pantry and a lighted custom wall behind the range.
Two of the bedrooms are on the main level. The home was planned for more than one generation, with a separate suite that has its own bedroom, its own living area and custom built-ins. The primary suite has a large walk-in closet that connects directly to the laundry, and its bath has heated floors, two vanities and a custom tiled walk-in shower. Upstairs are three more bedrooms, two full baths, a second laundry room and an open family space. The third floor is given over to a lounge with a built-in bar and a view out over the pond.
George S Raptis of Mike Thomas Assoc., Inc was the listing agent, and Jessica Brenn of Limitless Group represented the buyer.

No. 2 — $850,000 · 2457 W 1100 N, Markle, Indiana

The sale with the most land was in Markle, where a 2023 home on 11.55 wooded, rural acres sold for $850,000. The property is in the Northern Wells school district, and its acreage leaves room for walking the woods or hunting, with deer often seen close to the home.
The traditional-style home, finished in stone and vinyl siding, is one story above a full walkout basement, and at 6,601 square feet it has the most living area of the five. It has five bedrooms, three of them on the main level in a split plan, and four bathrooms: three full and a half bath. A gas fireplace runs from floor to ceiling in the living room. The kitchen has an island, generous cabinets and a pantry tucked out of sight, and the primary suite has its own bath.
Most of the entertaining happens downstairs. The finished basement has a movie room, a recreation room, a bar area and a home gym, as well as a dedicated tornado shelter. A covered porch and a patio lead outside, and the attached garage has room for three cars.
Samual Haiflich and Lisa Haiflich, both of BKM Real Estate, were the listing agents. Charles Simmons of CENTURY 21 Bradley Realty, Inc represented the buyer.

Inside, the main level centers on a great room with a cathedral ceiling crossed by wood beams and a gas fireplace set in brick that reaches the ceiling. A country property in the Hessen Cassel area of Fort Wayne, set on 5.30 acres with a pond and a private drive, sold for $742,300. Built in 2002, it is the oldest home of the five, and the land around it is landscaped and irrigated, with a collection of outbuildings.
