Nearly an acre of ground backing to the Highline Canal surrounds a Greenwood Acres house in Greenwood Village that sold for $4,750,000, the highest-priced home sale publicly reported in the Denver, Colorado metro area for the week ending August 16, 2026.
The week’s five highest reported sales combined for $19.03 million and are spread across Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, Denver and Castle Rock. Cherry Hills Village is represented twice, by two houses on Mockingbird Lane that each sold for $3.8 million, and build years run from 1984 to a house finished this year. Renovation is a thread through the list: several of the homes reached the market after designer-led remodels, while the Castle Rock closing involved a newly completed model home.

Inside, black-and-white marble flooring meets wide-plank oak floors, custom chocolate-toned cabinetry, soapstone counters and handmade terra-cotta tile, with antique elements worked into the finishes. The kitchen and pantry areas were enlarged during the remodel, and the primary suite was redesigned around its natural light. Practical additions run to a four-car garage, two laundry rooms, three HVAC systems, two tankless hot water systems, an automatic water shut-off, a dog run and a shed.
