Columbus, Ohio Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Modern Cliffshire Home Leads at $1.9 Million

Delaware County accounted for three of the week's five highest-priced sales, two of them in Galena, while the list also reached Heron Bay on Buckeye Lake in Perry County.

Columbus, Ohio Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Modern Cliffshire Home Leads at $1.9 Million

The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Columbus, Ohio metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, totaled $7.712 million. Three were in Delaware County: one in the city of Delaware and two in Galena. The other two were in Dublin, in Franklin County, and in Thornville, in Perry County.

The group mixes custom homes built in the past few years with lakefront properties dating from the 1990s, and prices ran from $1.9 million at the top to $1.287 million in fifth place.

No. 1 — $1,900,000 · 1022 Lale Point, Delaware, Ohio

Top home sale No. 1 in the Columbus, Ohio metro area β€” 1022 Lale Point, Delaware, Ohio, week ending October 4, 2026

In the Cliffshire community in Delaware, a modern home built in 2023 sold for $1.9 million, the top price of the week. It stands on 1.15 wooded acres that back to a nature preserve, and its design is defined by clean rooflines, a metal roof, tall ceilings and large custom picture windows.

The home has seven bedrooms, the most of any home in this Top 5, along with seven bathrooms and 6,837 square feet. Engineered hardwood runs through the main rooms, and a fireplace rising from floor to ceiling is the centerpiece of the main living space. The kitchen has custom Amish-built cabinetry and black and white Cambria quartz countertops with waterfall edges. Each bathroom has quartzite counters and floating vanities with sensor-activated lighting underneath.

Just outside the primary suite is a heated covered patio with a ceiling fan, a retractable projector screen and a projector. The suite also has its own upper-level deck and a private loft with a bar. The finished lower level alone covers more than 1,800 square feet, with space for a home theater, a fitness area and recreation, plus a secret playroom. Hidden doors appear elsewhere in the home, which also has whole-home audio in seven zones and a motorized drop-down television. Cobblestone landscaping finishes the grounds. The property last sold for $175,000 in 2022, before the current home was built.

Harlem Estates in Galena produced the week’s second-highest sale, a modern home built in 2023 by Terra Nova that sold for $1.675 million. It sits on 2.31 acres, minutes from Hoover Reservoir and downtown Galena, and last sold for $1.6 million in 2024.

The home has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and 6,224 square feet. Its great room has a soaring ceiling and plenty of natural light, and the kitchen is built around an oversized island with premium stainless steel appliances. The primary suite is on the first floor. There is also a dedicated home office, a bonus room, and a laundry room on both the first and second floors. Downstairs, the finished lower level adds more room for living and entertaining, including a private home theater. Two gas fireplaces warm the main rooms, and a large covered porch looks out over the fenced backyard. The attached garage has room for four cars, the most garage space of any home in this Top 5.

At 7.15 acres, the largest property on the list fronts Hoover Reservoir at 3200 Sunbury Road in Galena. It sold for $1.55 million. The land is wooded, with an outbuilding and parking split between attached and detached garages.

The home was built in 1990, making it the oldest in this Top 5, and at 7,581 square feet it is also the largest. It has three bedrooms, five bathrooms and three fireplaces, including wood-burning and gas-log fireplaces. A full basement with a walk-out leads toward the grounds, and a deck and a patio provide space outdoors. The listing says the property is eligible for a dock and presents the existing home as one a buyer could renovate completely or replace with new construction. The property last sold for $650,000 in 1995.

It went under contract five days after it was listed and sold for $150,000 above its $1.4 million asking price. The newest home in this Top 5 is a one-story home in Dublin’s Ravello neighborhood, built in 2024 by Romanelli & Hughes and sold for $1.3 million. Bridge Park, with its restaurants and entertainment, is five minutes away.

Wide-plank wood floors and beamed ceilings 12 feet high run through an open main floor, which includes an executive office and a great room with a modern electric fireplace. The kitchen pairs Amish-built wood cabinetry with quartz countertops veined like marble, high-end stainless steel appliances and a fully equipped butler’s pantry. Off the dining area, a covered porch has an automated screen that encloses it, and the porch leads to a custom paver patio.

Two of the three bedrooms are on the main level. One is the primary suite, which has a soaking tub, a zero-entry shower and a custom walk-in closet; the other is a second bedroom suite. On the water in Heron Bay on Buckeye Lake, in Thornville, a lakefront home built in 1997 went under contract two days after it was listed. It sold for $1.287 million, $19,500 above its $1.27 million asking price.

The 0.69-acre lot looks out over the surrounding waterways and Buckeye Lake, and the property has its own dock. Outdoor space is spread across a deck, balconies, patios and covered porches, and a screened gazebo with remote-controlled shades overlooks the water. The home has three bedrooms, four bathrooms and 4,320 square feet. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a walk-in pantry, and a home office is on the first floor.

Upstairs, the owner’s suite has a balcony and its own deck facing the water, and its bath has heated floors, a soaking tub, a walk-in shower and a large walk-in closet.
