Renovation work carried out in stages from 2007 through 2024 preceded the September 23, 2026 closing on Preston Road in Columbus, where a brick and stucco house with four bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a reported 6,563 square feet changed hands. The five highest-priced reported home sales in the Columbus metro area for the week ending September 27, 2026 came to $7.58 million.

Beyond the city itself, the week’s closings landed in Galena, Logan, Blacklick and Powell, and took in the Summerwood, Jefferson Meadows and River Run communities. The houses range from the 1920 leader to one that has yet to be built. Coldwell Banker Realty agents were on the listing side of both the No. 1 and the No. 4 transactions.
