The homes range from a 1925 English Tudor to a 2023 mountain farmhouse on more than 16 acres, and two Asheville real estate agents, Hope Byrd and Brett Whitt, held the listing side on both the No. 3 and No. 5 sales.
No. 1 — $3,040,097 · 97 Emerald Necklace Dr, Asheville, North Carolina

The 2020 Southern Living Idea Home at 97 Emerald Necklace Drive sold for $3,040,097, the highest reported price in the metro this week. The four-bedroom house in The Ramble Biltmore Forest carries five bathrooms and a reported 3,800 square feet, and it closed on August 10, 2026.
